I went through the "Arabs and their friends” section of Ben Gurion airport security again. Security checks include being told to drop your pants and lift your shirt. Security personnel touch every inch of your body in the name of "safety," but we all know this isn't about security—it's about humiliation and asserting dominance. It serves as a stark reminder that Palestinians are considered subhuman. I don’t mind security checks; I’ve experienced many in the 80 countries I’ve visited. But Ben Gurion is different; security is merely a facade. If any country treated Jewish Israelis this way, Netanyahu would accuse them of antisemitism and sexual harassment, and he would be right. Yet somehow, it’s acceptable when Israel does it to Palestinians. I'm not angry—I smiled through it all. This is how I wanted to show my resistance. I smile. I feel pity for those who think harassment and discrimination make them safer. Blatant abuse and Ty injustice must be exposed as we work to change them; you can't change what you ignore or refuse to discuss.

I don’t know why people are complaining. She literally said “"[I will work to make sure] The Palestinian people can realize their right to…self-determination" That’s an open endorsement of Palestinian independence. That’s a recognition.

fully confident that if there were no term limits we would have elected Barack Obama every four years until he died
