The administration's demand that Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey "mandatorily" sign the Abraham Accords as part of an Iran deal came out of nowhere and makes very little sense. First, the conflict & any settlement are between the U.S. & Iran. The Gulf states are not the combatants here. Second, portraying a reopened Strait of Hormuz as some kind of "favor" to our regional allies is bizarre given that those shipping lanes were open BEFORE U.S. strikes helped destabilize the situation. Many of the countries now being pressured absorbed major economic and security fallout from a conflict they did not start, and we unfortunately were not able to fully shield them from the consequences. Finally, ignoring the central political reality in the region does not make it disappear. Saudi Arabia & Pakistan, for example, have maintained a consistent red line for decades: no normalization with Israel absent meaningful movement toward a Palestinian state. Whether people agree with that position or not, it is the reality. They are not going to be forced into signing the Abraham Accords. The President should be focused on advancing America's direct national interests... not trying to redesign the political order of the entire Middle East through demands that are neither realistic nor enforceable.

@cabsav456 I suspect, like many of Trump's other whimsical musings on social media, this nonsense will disappear into the void.

@Ghostofcynthia Yeah, Trump won in 2024. If anything shows why we need to secure our elections, that does.

If you think the mental capacity of Trump and Biden are remotely comparable, then yours is also in question. It’s not even my opinion, the difference in Trump v. Biden during debate happening before the country’s eyes was so insane that defending Biden became indefensible. That is what happened. So no, the two scenarios are not at all similar.

This is amazing. The New York Times put together a graphic of how much time cabinet members spend kissing up to Trump in meetings. "On average, at least one of every six sentences either flattered Mr. Trump, gave him credit or criticized his political opponents." North Korea.

@tedcruz @PatriciaCu35353 "we achieved extraordinary military results—including destroying all of their missiles & drones and sinking their entire navy." Oh really? Then why are we still hitting missle sites & boats?

I am deeply concerned about what we are hearing about an Iran “deal,” being pushed by some voices in the administration. President Trump’s decision to strike Iran was the most consequential decision of his second term. He was right to do so, and we achieved extraordinary military results—including destroying all of their missiles & drones and sinking their entire navy. If the result of all that is to be an Iranian regime—still run by Islamists who chant “death to America”—now receiving billions of dollars, being able to enrich uranium & develop nuclear weapons, and having effective control over the Strait of Hormuz, then that outcome would be a disastrous mistake. The details are still coming out—and I pray the early reports are wrong—but the fact that Biden’s Rob Malley is praising the deal is not encouraging. President Trump believes in peace through strength, and his strong leadership has already made America much safer. He should continue to hold the line, defend America & enforce the red lines he has repeatedly drawn.

“National pride and competence” is a strange way to describe a movement built on loyalty tests, conspiracy theories, propaganda and grievance politics. Rubio spent years criticizing Trump, then abandoned every principle he claimed to stand for the second it became politically useful. That’s not leadership. That’s resume maintenance disguised as loyalty. And if MAGA truly had nothing to do with extremism, white nationalism, or authoritarian rhetoric, its loudest supporters wouldn’t keep marching shoulder-to-shoulder with exactly those people.

@RichardHanania Bro, Biden’s cabinet bragged about how great he was while he was very clearly mentally retarded. NYT didn’t make a graphic, they played along. No shit the President’s cabinet is going to be supportive of the President they work for. Who needs a NYT graphic to tell them that?

@Nick86LGM The part I have a problem with is you disliking a man who has helped as many people as Elon, presumably because you're envious of the wealth he's earned while doing it. I could be wrong. Maybe you just don't like autists and their personalities, but that's despicable too.

Many Democrats are going to lose their minds when Rubio inherits the MAGA movement, and they realize MAGA was never about White Supremacy but about national pride, competence, and realpolitik.
