If you see a helicopter towing one of these over your neighborhood, bad news: your town is getting a data center. They’re running airborne electromagnetic surveys to map groundwater in the area. TRANSLATION: figuring out how much water they can divert before people notice.

He's charging $300 for this 'device'. The value of the copper in every lampost is less than $50. The cost of these devices alone, never mind fitting them. would cost the same as repairing 250 years worth of copper theft.

@trouble_scott Yall don't even have personal style. You say today's theme is "golf" and go into ya closet and put together a shein costume that is a literal caricature interpretation. You wanted her in pleated skirt and polo for what? Why do you think that'll get her a white stamp of approval?

Unpopular opinion but you can’t insist on being in traditionally white spaces, show up dressed like you’re at a nightclub and then act surprised when you aren’t welcomed there.

Síomha Hennessy released a second video last night where she continued having a go at Ryan Casey. She doesn't appear to be as cocky today though as she has locked down all her social media.

@PotatoMcWhiskey @MickOKeeffe Bothering no one? It was loud enough the guy sitting down needed to tell him his earphones weren't plugged in. And its clear from the guys reaction that he was intentionally having a laugh at the expense of the passengers he was bothering

Literally one black dude listening to music riding public transport bothering no one being interfered with by a white dude. A more perfect metaphor couldn't be created. I'd import a million africans if it meant we got rid of one @MickOKeeffe easiest trade of my life
MichaeloKeeffe@Mick_O_Keeffe

Public transport in Ireland - -Crowded. -Foreigners everywhere. -African men annoying everyone. We don't have to live this way, once Irish people become comfortable being called 'racist' this problem goes away very quickly.

@HenMazzig Israeli television encourages and celebrates the murders as righteous and necessary. Are they committing blood libel?

A perfect example of a genuinely antisemitic comment, and not criticism of the Israeli government or its actions. This is blood libel antisemitism straight out of the Middle Ages. What’s Kneecap’s next tweet: Jews drinking blood for Passover? And coming from a music band who became famous by supporting Hezbollah, the terrorist organization that killed 12 Druze children by launching a rocket directly at a playground, that’s rich.

Bemused that the Irish Independent doesn’t identify who was responsible for the despicable float nor sought comment from them nor comment on its obvious antisemitic intent. No decent person would have hijacked a a St Patricks day parade to illustrate the sexual assaults by Hamas on Oct 7 at the Nova Music Festival or on hostages held in Gaza nor on Irish children in schools & institutions by multiple Irish clergy. There is only one reason for the “Epstein” branding & the reporter either lacked the insight to understand it or deliberately ignored it. Those responsible for the float & who engaged in the performance as well as their organisation must be known locally. Accountability not impunity is required. Unfair to all other well intended participants that second circuit cancelled. There is a need to take a stand against this type of disgusting conduct.

Let us be clear. Parents can not even slap their own children in this country. So why then should a security guard from another country (whose background check only pertained to his time spent living in Ireland, like ALL security guard checks) be able to give a child a "dirty punch in the head". The foreign national witnessing this sides with the security guard. Is the child an angel? Probably not. Is he gonna hurt a grown man? No. Can a grown man easily hurt a child? Yes. Is it illegal? Yes. The Irish man was right to intervene.

@SuzieD755164 So many in the comments effectively saying the child deserved it. These people make me sick, and are worse than the foreign scum in the video. If they wont even defend the children of their own nation, hate them this much, then they've no right to even call themselves Irish.

@SuzieD755164 The problem is that we have a generation of kids with no concept of consequences, shielded by those who have no stake in the situation beyond their own desire to feel a certain way about things. Our public spaces are dominated by gurriers. About time one of them got a skelp

Just as an update: it’s actually worse than I thought. The entire graph was faked. I just looked through the report that the graph was supposed to be from and there is not only no graph in the document, but Ireland wasn’t part of this study at all. The study only covers countries with large Jewish populations and reliable data-sharing. So it seems a random person made this map citing the Tel Aviv University study - and then posted it on Reddit where it then spread across Irish social media - with a completely made up number for Ireland. So Irish Twitter had no problem, for 2.5 years, spreading this random fake graph. And yet they immediately disregard and view as suspect a very careful study conducted by the Irish Jewish community, one that was at pains to outline its limitations (claiming only to ‘offer a community-generated baseline of lived experience that previously had no systematic public record in Ireland’). I’m going to lose my mind. I’m so serious.

In order to deny antisemitism in this country, for 2.5 years Irish Twitter has been sharing that one random graphic from an Israeli study that indicated that antisemitic incidents were lower in Ireland than other nations. They kept sharing it despite us being at pains to say that (1) the Jewish community in Ireland is tiny and this graphic was not per capita, and (2) that this only took into account violent incidents reported to the Gardaí when, aside from low reporting rates, physical violence is *not* the primary manifestation of antisemitism here. Now the Irish Jewish community has released a meticulous report on antisemitism in Ireland with findings that indicate a very high rate of incidents per capita. Suddenly Irish Twitter is awash with: ‘uhm akshually, the methodology is clearly flawed’ ☝️🤓 Where was this scrupulousness when it came to a random graphic that told you exactly what you wanted to hear? 🤡
