This is what I'll advise those coming up. You, like me, may be seeing a few of these issues with Nigerian employers and their anyhowness, but when you finally get up there, don't lose touch with what you experienced at the bottom. Don't become Oshiomhole-d. I have countless examples of this. Trust me, money does a thing to your psyche. There was a day I was talking to my dad about how I started getting anxiety issues when I come down to my last 2m. Literally, I start sweating, believe it or not, sometimes, I start crying. I got desensitized. I had to lose it all and rebuild my identity. A few of these "top guys" are not necessarily bad people, they've just lost touch with where they're coming from, and have become incentivized to fraternize with their fellow "top guys." They don't relate with most of these things because their networks are made up of strong men who can refer them to awesome jobs at the blink of an eye. In some instances, you have to go through them to get what you want. Stay in touch with your beginnings. Stay grounded. That way, you'll be able to be of help to those coming after you.
