Reading the comments on this Old Trafford on social media. And it seems that its really difficult for most people to accept that their heroes & heroines are also human. Ben Stokes can be both a lion hearted cricketer who willed his country to a historic World Cup win and an ungenerous skipper who wanted to go off immediately once he realized he couldn't win. That's us all. And yes, it wasn't a great idea, but that does not diminish all the terrific things he did in this series.

Buddhadev Dasgupta did it four years before Benegal, in his 1978 debut Dooratwa, though on a smaller scale, in a voiceover. (The subtitles ignored the actors' names, however.)
