@chi_quiero $1k for 6 hours of work. Honestly, this is the kind of convenience I’m working hard to be able to afford. I hate taking my own hair down. I hate detangling, washing and conditioning it. I hate styling it. If I got the money, I’ll pay someone to do all of it for me!
The wig take down, wash and new install took a total of 6hrs!!
She did do a good job and a lot of TLC and as you'd expect, that broke the bank!
Watch till the end if you wanna know how much it cost😮
AITAH for suing my cousin for $6K after he threw me in the pool?
I told him to stop. Clearly. More than once.
He laughed… and threw me in anyway.
My hearing aids? Destroyed.
Cost: $6,000.
His response? “Didn’t know you had them.”
Then he refused to pay.
My whole family backed him because I earn more and he’s struggling with a baby and college.
So I sued him. I won.
He still didn’t pay… so now 20% of his wages are being taken.
He had to drop out of college to keep up.
Now I’m the “villain” in the family.
AITAH?**
Being single today isn't just a relationship status, it's a financial disadvantage. You're covering 100% of the costs with 50% of the support, and somehow expected to keep pace with people who've got everything shared. It's not about being bad with money, it's about the fact the system clearly isn't built for one person to manage alone anymore.
This is a typical black middle-class neighborhood in the Atlanta area. This is not AI. The black middle-class is invisible in the US because we are boring. We’re not depicted in movies, TV shows, etc. because parents work everyday, attend youth sports event, go to church, etc.
Covid showed us we could slow down, work different, care for each other, rethink everything. We had one rare chance to build a life that was less cruel, less exhausting, less centered around grinding people into dust.
Instead we sprinted right back into burnout, greed, higher costs, worse mental health, and pretending this is normal.
That’s what makes me angry. We learned nothing.
