It's funny how interstellar is billed as hard sci-fi because they went all in on animating the black hole and gesture at relativity but there's not a single plot element that actually makes sense

@cbspock Yeah when I started the show my pitch was basically "Everyone knows Apollo 11 and the Challenger accident. But what about Gemini IX-A? Or STS-49? Those are great stories too! There's no such thing as a boring spaceflight!"

@SpaceAboveUs I started with Shuttle so I can go further back and go through the beginning. I grew up with Shuttle and it’s nice to see a podcast go through the program and its accomplishments, and not let Challenger and Columbia define it.

@Astro_Cady @NASA It was a chain of circumstances, not one error, that caused mission failure. Oversimplification does not help those who strive to prevent accidents in the future. Explore the rich and full context of an accident if you want to learn from it. Otherwise you will repeat it
