If you’re seeing a bunch of Japanese posts, here are some fun facts: Japan has more daily active users and more time spent on X than any other country in the world. Over two thirds of the country is monthly active on X. X in Japan has one of the highest penetration rates of any social network in history.

We should totally talk, one Terminal dev to another. I build MidTerm a Terminal that lives in the browser (connected to a very small AOT compiled binary that can live on Linux/Mac/Windows) It has most features of TMUX but also caters to non terminal folks. It's a great way to run / orchestrate lots of claude/codex/github copilots on windows. it's already dogfooded by a large dev team, works well on mobile -> With that thig you can finally reach terminals from remote on windows machine (even from an iPad). here is the kitchen table demo

"protect" because on the one hand with their Web Application firewall and their DDOS protection they protect you from bad actors -> while on the other hand they have raw clear text access to your traffic. It's like the mafia protecting you from thugs while freeloading your stuff. Don't get me wrong, in many cases it's the lesser evil. I use Cloudflare for some of my sites, but I wouldn't use it for anything transporting private user data.

@spaceMonster @levelsio @jamespotter Why is protect in quotes? Do you think CF is lying about mitigating against extreme DDOS attacks daily? They're very transparent about snooping into traffic though, its how all of their major WAF rules and caching works. Not a secret really and required for any adv DDOS guard

PSA as this one passed me by at the time. If you use Starlink, your data is probably being used to train Grok. It's opt-out. Absolute scoundrels.

@levelsio @jamespotter Your user --https1-> Cloudflare ---https2-> your servers https1 cloudflares certificate https2 your servers certificate cloudflare unpacks between 1 and 2. So they have access to the raw datastream in their most widely used DDOS protection reverse proxy setup.

@spaceMonster @jamespotter The connection between Cloudflare to your server in most cases is also HTTPS though if you use Let's Encrypt

@levelsio @jamespotter Only cloudflare can look into https for all the pages they "protect" from DDOS. Other than that https is pretty save from businesses snooping into the traffic.

@levelsio 4.20 hallucinates tool parameters right and left same tools that work well with gpt 5.4 or gemini 3x are always misused by Grok

FYI for some reason Claude Code will always default you to use Grok 3 and not Grok 4.1 but you should use Grok 4.1 or Grok 4.2 (but that one is more expensive)

hey that's my niche i maintain a .net wrapper lib for all major voice APIs OpenAI Realtime Gemini Live Xai Realtime this lib makes it trivial to add voice ai and voice tool calling support to any old boring c# business app it works on linux/mac/c# even in console apps 8K downloads nuget.org/packages/Ai.Tl… ...c# devs don't star on github though github.com/tlbx-ai/Ai.Tlb…

tbh, as a long time power user of this app, this metric does not match my experience my assumption is that this is due to ai agents as opposed to actual human users enjoying the app more again, ymmv, but my personal experience is an inverse enjoyment to this graph

A big problem with Project Hail Mary: the science and engineering is so dumbed-down that it's borderline comical. Problems get solved almost magically, with no process or iteration. He meets alien life, shows it a clock, and five minutes later is having conversations. (His laptop magically translated the language, I guess.) Grace is charming (unbelievably so) but isn't shown as a good scientist. He's shown as a fantastically-lucky scientist. The Big Bang Theory had a similar problem, pretending to be a show for smart, techy people but mostly just winking at it. In other words it's pop science when the world desperately needs hard engineering to be celebrated. Still a good movie, but not nearly the classic it could and should have been.
