@oldhockeycards Stan Smyl. Steamer never took a shift off and played a hard heavy game with a 5'8" 190 lb frame & not afraid of anyone. Nobody played with more heart. With all due respect to Kurtenbach and Linden, Stan is the best captain the Canucks have ever had.

@chrispronger In fairness to Daigle, it's usually true... there are some exceptions obviously.

The NHL Draft is this Friday. Draft night is a celebration of everything you've accomplished to that point. But the truth is, it's also Day 1. The real work starts after your name is called. I was drafted second overall in 1993. I remember the guy drafted ahead of me saying, "I'm glad I got drafted first, because no one remembers number two." I've had a few years to think about that one.
