How to Enable UPI Payment for Children without Bank Account !!!! Share Widely. It can Help Someone. Somewhere... As you all know, my son Prakrit is 11 years old, homeschooled with tons of similar children (as you all know). He and his friends work on Canva, Stop Motion, Animation, Videos, AI etc. At home, he is involved in buying groceries & other things for us. He takes the metro on his own. They travel to rural schools to teach. Pretty independent child. So, he has a good phone, to take care of all his work & also for us to reach him when he travels. He has a Demat, PAN Card, Aadhar & a Minor Bank Account. Even though he has his own phone, whenever he would go to buy anything for the home, I would send my phone with him, so that he can make the UPI payment. I always wanted him to have his own UPI, but this was not possible since he is a minor and his bank account has my name as the Guardian. So my phone number is linked to everything. Yesterday, we found a solution (thanks to AI search). I wanted to share this you all, since I thought it would help you. There is a feature called UPI Circle, which enables the parent to add a secondary person to use UPI without a bank account. The money will get debited from the parent account only. I use PayTM primarily and Google Pay (mainly for UPI Lite) rarely. So, I have set this up on Google Pay. I think this feature can be set up on multiple service providers, you can explore more. So, how do we enable this. Basic Requirements before you proceed reading: - Child must have a phone, data plan, phone number - Child must have Aadhar or PAN - Parent must be having Bank account, Phone number linked, Aadhar & working UPI - Parent must have the need for child to use UPI Is above points are YES, then move ahead !!! Step 1: Set Up UPI Account for the Child: With the phone number of the child, on the child's phone, setup a Google Pay account for the Child or Dependent (Secondary User). You need not link any bank account. Just basic phone number of the child will do. Have the screen lock as the security feature. Keep Aadhar & PAN handy. In child's phone, tap the Profile Picture on the top right and select UPI Circle. Step 2: Set Up as a Primary User (for the parent) 1. Open the Google Pay app on Parent Phone and tap your Profile picture in the top right. 2. Select UPI Circle from the menu. 3. Tap Set up pocket money on UPI Circle or Add People to your UPI Circle. 4. Search for the contact you want to add (they must be in your phone contacts and have their own GPay account). 5. In UPI Circle of the Child, the QR Code will be present. Scan the secondary user's QR code or enter their UPI ID to link them. 6. Choose Delegation Type: Full Delegation (Spend with Limits): Set a monthly limit (up to ₹15,000). The user can pay without your approval for each transaction (max ₹5,000 per payment). Partial Delegation (Approve Every Payment): You must manually approve every request the secondary user initiates. 7. Verify the user's relationship and enter their Government ID number if prompted. 8. Select the Bank Account to be used and enter your UPI PIN to send the invitation. Step 3: Acceptance by Secondary User/Child 1. The secondary user must open their GPay app and go to Profile > UPI Circle. 2. They must Accept the request within 30 minutes of receiving it. Step 4: Making a Payment (Secondary User/Child) 1. Scan any merchant QR code or search for a phone number. 2. Enter the amount. 3. Under "Choose account to pay with," select the bank account linked on the UPI Circle. 4. Complete the payment: - Full Delegation: The payment goes through immediately (within limits). - Partial Delegation: Tap Request to pay. The primary user will receive a notification and must approve it within 10 minutes using their UPI PIN. Important Limits: Monthly Limit: Maximum ₹15,000 per secondary user. Transaction Limit: Maximum ₹5,000 per single payment. Cool-off Period: For the first 24 hours after being added, secondary users can only spend up to ₹5,000 total. Important NOTES: - In UPI Circle, when the child scans the QR Code of the merchant, the parent's bank will come up as the option. The child can see the limit and the amount left. For eg: If parent has set the limit as ₹1000, and the child has already spent ₹100, it would show ₹900 when the payment is being made. - There is no PIN concept here. So, basically, the security is the phone lock or biometric on the dependent phone, which will come up, while the child open Gpay. So, the child must ensure that no one else knows the pattern (except the child's close ones). - Since there is no PIN concept while making payment, it is advisable to keep a small amount like ₹1000, so that it really meets the child's requirement. Now, this was a use case for me. It might or might not be relevant for many people, but this can be useful for you all !!! I keep sharing interesting things. Hope this helps. I would request you to share this post widely, so that it helps more people to setup a small UPI payment mechanism for their dependents, without a bank account. Be responsible. Do it wisely !! Do it, only if required. Lots of love, #FI

Wow... This is amazing, worth trying... Added to my bucket list.. thank you
The Kaipullai@thekaipullai

So over the weekend, when my idle mind was playing devils workshop, I asked myself, if I had to do a Phileas Fogg type Around India in 80 Trains type of challenge, where I had to touch all the states and UTs of India only via trains, what would be the best way to do it? I wondered, is it even possible? Turns out, it is. So in case if you are ever asked on a date on "How can you touch all the states in India thru train journeys alone?" Here is your answer This journey starts in the South of India. Tirunelveli to be precise. Start by praying to to Nelliyappar swamy and have the famous Iruttu Kadai Halwa and then get on the 19577 - Tirunelveli Jamnagar Express. Over the next 54 hours, you will pass thru the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Pondicherry, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat. Once you reach Jamnagar and touch the Capitalism Capital of India, get on board the 12477 - Jamnagar - Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express. You will cover Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. Take the blessings of Mata here, because from now the journey is going to get arduous. From Vaishno Devi, you take the 14503, Vaishno Devi - Kalka Express, because Kalka is one of the few places in Himachal Pradesh which has a rail network. While at Kalka, If you have the chance, do take the Kalka - Shimla hill railway as well. It is an amazing train journey, with 100 odd tunnels and will tell you what extreme steps the British took, to run away from Indian heat. Once you are back, board the 12005 - Kalka - Delhi Shatabdi to get to Delhi and prepare for the most challenging leg of the journey. A journey that will take you thru the Gangetic plains, the Badlands of Bihar, the bustle of Bengal and the beauty of the North East. However, is is nothing as compared to breathing the 1574 AQI Delhi Air. You first start with the 22457 Delhi - Haridwar, Vande Bharat, to tick Uttarakhand off your map. Use this chance to spiritually recharge yourself by visiting Haridwar and Rishikesh. You can also take a dip in the holy Ganga to wash all your sins away. And breathe some nice clean mountain air. After Delhi, you need it. Once you have cleansed yourself, internally and externally, board the 13009 Haridwar - Howrah Doon Express. This will take you thru, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal to drop you off at Kolkata. Eat Rasgollas, Mishti Doi, Jhal muri and the taste of Communist poverty before you embark on the tour of North Eastern seven sisters. For me, this was the toughest leg to plan in the entire journey. We first start with a 28 hour journey on the 13125 - Kolkata - Sairang Express. Sairang is the new expansion of Indian railways that will take you via Assam, right to the hills of Mizoram. Get down at Bairabi and take the Bairabi - Silchar Passenger to Silchar for your next North Eastern journey. From Silchar, take the 15663 - Silchar – Agartala Express, to tick off Tripura. From Tripura, take the 12097 - Agartala – Khongsang Jan Shatabdi, and get down at Jiribam, to touch the soil of Manipur. Then you need to circle back to Silchar with the Jiribam - Silchar Passenger. Now you need to hop, skip and jump to the next nodal point of the North East - Guwahati via the 15616 - Silchar – Guwahati Express. This is a 13 hour journey which will allow you enough time to recuperate. This journey also kind of showed me the extent of Assam as a state. I never knew you could have a 12 hour train journey entirely within Assam. Now while you are in Guwahati. Take some rest here. Visit the Kamakhya Devi Temple and get her blessings. If you did that, you would have had the privilege to visit both Mata Devi in Jammu and Kamakhya Devi in Assam. Few visit one. Rarer are those who visit both. Also, use one day to take the Guwahati – Mendipathar Passenger and come back to Guwahati. This will tick Meghalaya off. To summarize, till now you have completed Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Pondicherry, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu And Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya. That is 26 in total. 5 more to go. From Guwahati, take the 12087 - Guwahati - Naharlagun Jan Shatabdi to Naharlagun. Now you have covered Arunachal Pradesh as well. Only one North East State remains - Nagaland. Finish that by taking the 15818 - Naharlagun - Sukhovi Donnyi Polo Express. That is another 14 hour journey that I didn't think was possible in the North East. When you get down at Sukhovi, you will have covered all the North Eastern States of India. I don't know the exact timings, but to do the NE states of India, you would need at least a week if not more. That's how expansive these states are. Unfortunately for us, these states used to be covered in two seconds in the old DD Weather report. One more fact, we have taken a 11 train journeys in the North Eastern region of India. 8 of them didn't exist before 2017. This shows stellar work by the current govt in bringing Railways to the North East. But I digress From Sukhovi, get back to Guwahati on the same Donnyi Polo express, because post the hills of North East, now we head to the sea at Vizag. For that you have 2 options Either take the longest train in India, the 22503-Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express. Or if you seek more comfort - the 12504-Agartala-SBC Humsafar Express This way you will cover Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. You are now close to the end of your epic journey. And In case you are keeping track, we are now at 29/31. Only 2 more states remain. After enjoying the sea breeze and sea food if you are into it, get on the 20811 - Vizag - Raipur Vande Bharat Express. That will tick off Chhattisgarh. After this epic journey of 20 trains, only one state remains. Telangana You can tick this off in two ways. Either you can take the 12772 - Raipur - Secunderabad Super Fast express and land in Hyderabad for a nice Biriyani and call it a day. If you feel you feel you deserve a sunny and sandy break after a journey that rivals Philieas Fogg in length and complexity, you can take the 17322 - Jasidh - Vasco Express which will take you all the way to Goa via Hyderabad. There you can heartily celebrate your epic journey across 31 states of India. A journey that was kind of impossible 10 years ago. PS 1 - The only state which is not covered in this itinerary are Sikkim. Currently Sikkim has no railway, but one is under construction. The day it is completed, we can add a small leg there too. PS 2 - It is my plan. But I am not saying it is the only plan. If you can do this better, suggestions welcome PS 3 - Almost all types of trains are covered in this journey. Passenger trains, Normal Trains, Express Trains, LHB Coach, ICF Coach, Vande Bharat, Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi and Humsafar. I think only Rajdhani and Double Decker was missed out. But you can't have everything. PS 4- I could've shortened the North Easter Journey by taking Dimapur as the station for ticking off Nagaland. But the name Donyi Polo Express was too awesome to ignore. PS 5- The entire journey would take approximately 21 days. So if any Youtuber wants to use this plan for their journey, they are welcome.

Since the Amurs have created a mini-sensation with their incredible journey, I did a short Q&A with Dr Suresh from @wii_india who leads this remarkable tracking project. Here are a few fascinating insights Q. Why do Amur Falcons migrate? A. Migration is a natural survival strategy. Many species, including the Amur Falcon, move seasonally to escape harsh weather, seek richer feeding grounds, or find suitable breeding habitats. Over evolutionary time, individuals that migrated had higher survival and reproductive success which is why migration persists in certain species even today. Q. Why is tracking their migration important? A. Tracking with lightweight electronic tags helps scientists understand the exact routes and flight paths these birds follow, the environmental factors influencing their journey, and the critical stopover sites they depend on. It also helps identify threats along the way from habitat loss to hunting and provides vital insights into how Climate Change is shifting migration patterns worldwide. Q. How do Amur Falcons survive such long flights without food or water? A. Before they begin their transcontinental journey, Amur Falcons stop over at select sites in Northeast India, especially Nagaland and Manipur. Their arrival coincides with the mass emergence of termites a rich, high-protein food source. Here, they undergo hyperphagia or intense pre-migratory fattening, building reserves that sustain them through their nonstop oceanic flights where no food or water is available. Q. Do they take breaks while crossing the sea? A. No. Amur Falcons are terrestrial birds and cannot land on water. Once they leave the Indian coast, they undertake an uninterrupted flight across the Arabian Sea, a remarkable non-stop journey covering nearly 3000 km.
Supriya Sahu IAS@supriyasahuias

Here is an update - All three satellite-tagged Amur Falcons Apapang (male), Alang (young female) and Ahu (female) are now undertaking their daring Arabian Sea crossing. Apapang has already flown nonstop for 76 hours, covering 3100 km at an average of 1000 km per day, aided by strong easterly tailwinds. From here, the journey becomes even more extraordinary as they head towards Somalia on their epic 3000 km oceanic flight @sureshwii @wii_india #Amurfalcons

He was 15. I was 16. He was in XIth B, I was in XIIth A. We shared the same bus route, an hour long journey each way where we would talk philosophy, politics, songs and books. He, the shades of evening skies, I carried the hues of dawn. We both, inquisitive and curious beings. We parted ways as I moved cities to pursue higher cities and back in 90s, there was no internet or mobile to stay in touch. For years, in an over connected world, I searched for him online : here, on all other platforms but to no success. Last year, in a large school reunion WA group of 1000s people, I took a chance to ask if anyone knows of his whereabouts. One person responded privatelyand connected me to the linkd in profile of a software engineer in Atlanta, US. I sent him a message and asked of he is who I think he is and he responded with such warmth, recalling our school bus days as one of the fondest childhood memory he holds close to his heart. Avi is home for Chatth, his parents live 5 minutes away from where I do and he will be meeting his Gayatri Di fir coffee tomorrow, after a gap of thirty two years. People are not lost forever, those we seek reach us. Somehow. ... The universe finds a way. ❣️✨

7. SON OF SATAN The SS-18 will be retired as soon and replaced by its successor the RS-28 Sarmat (named after the Sarmatians, a nomadic confederation of tribes that lived on the Steppes). The new missile's NATO reporting name is SS-X-29 or SS-X-30, and is colloquially referred to as Satan II. Bigger than the SS-18, it is a hypersonic missile and will carry hypersonic glide vehicles to make it less detectable by US or space-based sensor systems and could be immune to American missile defense systems. Britain, don't say you weren't warned. Hubris leads to perdition. You are outclassed in the big boys league. Conserve your dwindling resources to protect your underage girls from your growing parasitic jehadi population. Ends

HOW BRITAIN COULD BECOME A PARKING LOT 1. The world's most powerful nuclear missile is the Russian SS-18 nicknamed 'Satan'. Russia has 46 of these monsters. The Satan has 10 independently targetable reentry vehicles, each with enough payload to wipe out an area the size of Texas (667,000 sq km) or three Britains. Entire Britain will melt and resemble a grey flat pancake. Not a blade of grass will be left on the island. So Englanders, and their Scottish, Welsh and Irish slaves, who are excited to send troops to Ukraine need to sit down and get a reality check. Read on about the Satan's fearsome power.
