Just look at this. The military backed by the most advanced surveillance systems, aircraft, radars & billions in Western military technology is now stretching fishing-style nets over bases, vehicles & positions in an attempt to stop cheap FPV drones. Some positions now resemble giant cages. Israeli reports themselves admit soldiers are being issued shotguns, fragmentation rounds & improvised protection because conventional air defence systems are struggling against low-altitude FPVs, especially fibre-optic guided drones that cannot simply be jammed electronically. That alone tells you how dramatically the battlefield is changing. The era of uncontested dominance by tanks, armour & billion-dollar systems is being challenged by relatively cheap drones costing a fraction of the weapons trying to stop them. Modern warfare is starting to look less like science fiction & more like two armies improvising against swarms of flying explosives.

Why Defending the Islamic Republic Equals Defending Islam Itself The statement by Imam Khomeini (ra) — “The preservation of the Islamic Republic is the highest of obligations, even more important than the lives of individuals, even if they were infallible” — reflects a jurisprudential and ideological principle deeply rooted in the concept of safeguarding Islam and protecting the Muslim community from collapse and deviation. According to this understanding, the preservation of an Islamic state is not viewed merely as a political necessity, but as a religious obligation tied directly to the survival of Islam itself. Throughout Islamic history, prophets, imams, and righteous believers sacrificed immensely in order to preserve the divine message from distortion and destruction. The Qur’an repeatedly emphasizes the value of sacrifice in defense of faith and justice: “Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise.” — Surah At-Tawbah (9:111) Also: “And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and for the oppressed among men, women, and children?” — Surah An-Nisa (4:75) From this Qur’anic perspective, the uprising of Imam Husain in Karbala was not simply over political leadership, but a struggle to preserve the essence of Islam itself. Imam Husain (AS) rose because he believed that the Umayyad project was transforming Islam into a hollow structure emptied of its values and ethics. His sacrifice became a symbol of defending the religion from corruption, even at the cost of martyrdom. Contemporary Islamic scholars recognized the same danger in the modern era: without an independent Islamic state capable of resisting foreign domination and preserving Islamic identity, the Muslim world would become vulnerable to political submission, cultural erosion, and religious distortion. In this context, the Islamic Republic of Iran is viewed as more than a nation-state; it is considered a fortress protecting the political and civilizational independence of the Muslim Ummah. The Qur’an also warns believers against surrendering to weakness and division: “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided.” — Surah Aal Imran (3:103) And: “So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers.” — Surah Aal Imran (3:139) Within this framework, defending the Islamic Republic becomes synonymous with defending the continuity of Islam’s political presence and resistance against projects aimed at subjugating the region. If Iran collapses, the consequences would extend far beyond one country, potentially affecting the future of Islamic independence for generations to come!
