Another little #GodotEngine project ive been chipping away at over the past few months. Its been coming along pretty good so far I think.

@goblingamedev I wonder how much this depends on age. I'm old so I like the harsh nes style of the new one. Younger commenters might prefer the old one out of nostalgia for imitation retro games from the 2010s which had a more practical diy look
...My job is to make Ichorous look good. SO if you do think the old version looks better, I'd be happy to listen and respond to your suggestions under this post. Please be specific if you comment :)
P.S.
Yes, the damage numbers are optional and can be toggled off

So on basically all Ichorous related posts I've made, ppl have commented about how they prefer the old version better. As much as I appreciate ppl showing interest and sharing their opinions, it sucks to hear that it doesn't look as good over and over again...

@goblingamedev They're both good but the new one is more distinguished imo. The player and tile designs are much improved. My only recommendation would be to slightly darken and blue-shift the background midtone
Going to go live on youtube at 7:00pm EST with some tileset painting. Swing by if you want to see my process for making the environment art in Acrolyte! Link below
