@David_Moscrop To the extent I disagree it is the specific word class but I think you would be hard pressed to find a more class conscious president than Biden over the last forty years. He spoke in explicit class terms and drove up median wage growth in real terms.

I've been in so many rooms with elites talking about democracy and I raise economic and class issues and people plug their ears and only want to talk about civility or rock the vote programs or how name calling is bad. I cannot stress this enough: to save democracy, talk class.

Latest numbers: across the seven battleground states, the '20-'24 swing towards Trump was ~3.1 pts. Across the other 43 states (+DC), it was ~6.7 pts. Bottom line: the Harris campaign swam impressively against some very strong underlying currents.

just pointing out that it's more than a little weird for a political party's core "founding principle" to be simply to keep another political party out of government. Usually it's something that occurs in tandem w/ some positive desire for a certain goal, not the essential thing.
