These traits are consistent with the Timurid lineage, as Akbar was descended from the Timurids on his father's side (Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire, traced his ancestry to Timur and Genghis Khan). Here are some real authentic portraits painted by court artists from Akbarnama and other folios.
