@ChuckCook I asked Grok how many miles an average driver drives a day. The returned answer was approximately 37 miles a day. It is roughly 18.5 going away from home and then the same returning. While recovering 20 some odd minutes each trip is nice, how many will pay more than $100 for it?

I agree with what Omar is saying here. Keeping basic Autopilot isn't the best solution. Including a basic set of ADAS features with all Teslas—at minimum, lane keeping and adaptive cruise control—is critical. Unfortunately, Elon's communication suggested that FSD Supervised prices are rising, while the website simultaneously showed Autosteer removed, leaving only Traffic-Aware Cruise Control (TACC). I can say firsthand that the first few months of Cybertruck ownership with only TACC were pretty miserable. If FSD Supervised will include a basic set of ADAS features on all Teslas as a substitute, we need to hear about it. People's purchasing decisions depend on important information like this.

@chuckcook As a motorcycle rider, I would have been very nervous about the car entering the road with that amount of separation. Might have prompted an unsafe reaction from the biker. From my perspective, you did the right thing.

Many of you didn't see this clip if you didn't watch my full video this morning, but I think its important to see. I had an interaction with a motorcycle on one of my UPL's this morning, and I chose to make a safety critical disengagement. It was close, but I wasn't willing to risk this interaction. People need to start to accept that there's no "fast track" return to the Moon. To get things done earlier, you gotta start them earlier. Giving lunar lander contracts in 2021 expecting a landing in 2024 and then complaining the lander is late is like... plan better

Just then our government EASILY passed a law to ban anyone under 16 from social media, and enforce it with digital ID and/or 'other forms of age verification' unknown. This verification will be required by all Australians and presumably tourists in the country. It's a f'ing disgrace.

@puppy_kirk @BCCarCounters I think you are right. It’s not the FAA itself, it is the agencies that they have to consult with and the timeframe they are given to work within.

@BCCarCounters I think the FAA had requested a consult with Fish and Wildlife, which has up to 60 days to finish. But it was for something silly, the drop location of the HSR changing. So the fish folk probably just got done early.

Regarding the license. The FAA always has issued current statements with disclaimer that they of course can change any time. I think if we see a launch this Sunday, it won’t be through NASA or the DoD licensing, but because the state of play at the FAA changed. (1/3)

@BCCarCounters @FAANews @SpaceX @NASASpaceflight What this means is that they have now submitted a request for license modification. We don’t know when that request was made. It was likely recently after the B14 tests and likely after the decision to reinforce the welds on the chopsticks.
