`v2.43.2` has been released with fix for missing custom apps on Spotify `1.2.87` and `1.2.88` To update **spicetify**: Run `spicetify update`/`spicetify upgrade` in Terminal (Powershell, Command Prompt, Windows Terminal etc.) or use your package manager and run `spicetify restore backup apply` If `spicetify update` command did not fix it for you, run `spicetify restore backup apply`

@spongebobham2b that's not really spicetify's fault though. could be theme's, extension's or just own spotify functions being that hungry

spicetify is awesome until it uses 20 percent of your cpu and doesnt load any element correctly and then you uninstall it for 6 months

@dihydroxyestra That's basically native vs web tech, if you just compare @WhatsApp for windows now (web based), compared to the same @WhatsApp for windows few versions ago (native), you'll see a huge difference. Surprised by Discord using only 100mb 🤔

after like a week of looking for spicetify altertatives i tried spotx but its kinda broken heh...

@spicetifyapp oh i didn't file any orphan request, probably someone else that was more mad than me about it

istg the spicetify-cli AUR package maintainer can't get anything right. last time they pushed a beta release in the normal package and they put a dash in the pkgver so it wouldn't even start building, now they have a broken PKGBUILD... someone take away their AUR privileges

@ActuallyFlamey but going after him bc the package was not working for 1 week is just funny. especially filling the orphan request after 2 days of it not working lmao

we are separate people. meow did automatic script for doing PKGBUILD updates. I released an update with new pre_release tag, which his script did not account for, somehow the update went through on his end even though I did not trigger it and that's just how it happened. We all have lifes. He fixed it when he could.
