@pavandavuluri @GaetanDezeiraud Expand this to Microsoft apps, starting from the new outlook, by far the worst Microsoft app I ever used in 30 years, they should ditch web tech and go back to native, specially with todays RAM cost.

The team and I have spent the past several months analyzing feedback from the community. What came through was the voice of people who care deeply about Windows and want it to be better. Read this blog post to learn more about what we're doing in response as we look to raise the bar on Windows 11 quality. Please keep the feedback coming, to help us shape the future of Windows together. blogs.windows.com/windows-inside…

Not a good look @theo calling Tailosive Tech pathetic, a 14 year old, and really stupid for literally just stating what is going on. He's a respected content creator that seems more honest and balanced than most in the Apple community. Theo's reply seems incredibly immature...

Microsoft is officially blaming Samsung for a major Windows 11 bug that’s locking users out of their own C drives. 🚫 The "Access Denied" issue hit Galaxy Book & Desktop users after recent updates, but MS says the fault lies with the Samsung Galaxy Connect app. Details: neowin.net/news/microsoft…

@karthikponna19 FACT and you can charge your mac anywhere from type c, and you don't have to take the cord from mac, and besides, it holds the charge perfectly, giving out maximum power in any case

@TechHighest I agree, but also writing something like this is not good "I know this probably sounds petty, but I cannot have faith in the long-term health of any organization expecting serious engineering to be done on Windows...

Macbook Neo is also remarkably capable. I ran a Geekbench CPU test, while watching a movie, and working in Excel plus web browsing and had no issues in performance. Here is what A18 Pro looked like under that exact stress test.

But MacBook Neo only has 8gb of RAM! Well, I ran Geekbench, played a movie, worked in a handful of apps and it didn't blink, still smooth, no latency in app usage or app switching. Here is how many windows were open. 8GB of RAM is not a problem.

Microsoft hits snooze on the New Outlook migration — again Microsoft is pushing the New Outlook opt‑out deadline all the way to 2027, giving IT admins another year to prep for the switch. The company says the extension is meant to give organizations more time to test features, adjust workflows, and make sure the new client fits their needs before the old Outlook is phased out. It’s a big shift for businesses that weren’t ready for the 2024 or 2025 timelines, and Microsoft is clearly responding to feedback from admins who said the transition needed more breathing room. The New Outlook is still the future, but now the rollout has a little less pressure — and a lot more time for organizations to get their house in order. @ecblanco @WindowsCentral Teams is one of the few apps I can give the pass to be to web tech based due to its complexity and integration with many 365 web services...but other apps like the new outlook are unacceptable.

Ugly and inconsistent Windows 11 apps could be a thing of the past — but Microsoft still can't figure out how numbers work. WinUI Gallery is a digital showroom of sorts for developers, showing what UI elements look like on a PC and providing code samples to help create software that aligns with Microsoft's design framework. Now, it's been bumped up to version 2.8, with newly added samples and improvements (1/2)

@xbtBNV @zacbowden @mweinbach What exactly an external screen and chrome tabs has to do with electronjs? Also 12 instances of the same app consume less of 1 instance 12 electron apps.

This is what I’ve been trying to explain for the past few months when the rumors started You can’t easily change the memory amount on A18 Pro. It’s physically combined into a single package, not a chip on a board. They could have swapped it, but negates the cost/volume benefits
High Yield@highyieldYT

The new @Apple MacBook Neo is powered by the A18 Pro, a mobile chip that is packaged using TSMC InFO-PoP. The DRAM sits on top of the SoC, it's a single, closed packaged. That's why the MBN comes with the same amount of 8GB DRAM as the iPhone 16 Pro. Same chip, same package.
