On the way, they stopped for food—he bought her cheeseburgers and made it a full meal. He offered her the choice to eat outside with him or in the car, treating her with respect and dignity. After the meal, he drove her straight to the treatment facility and handed her off safely. She thanked him warmly.

The proposed statewide network could connect major regions including Sacramento, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and San Diego through express bus service and purpose-built transit hubs. One scenario discussed by planners estimated a San Francisco-to-Los Angeles trip could take about 3 hours and 12 minutes at roughly 120 mph. The idea is still in the study/concept stage, not an approved project.
