@DimazKyle @pinenutter Not really. It follows racial composition with socio economic equity in mind. While true in the past today only top Bumis get it. Numbers, not difficult to find enough Bumis to fill these slots. Also, only 1 kid per family can get it. 99% private scholarships go to non though.

@spidergladiator @pinenutter Check out the scholarships given out. Even the criteria for scholarship qualification is different, and with quota.

A non earning 15k is not the same as a Malay / Bumi earning 15k. Understand that first before you start generalising and categorising people as rich based on how much they earn.

@DimazKyle @pinenutter I thought nowadays majority of kids are on PTPTN loans? 72% (2.8 million) borrowers are Bumi students. 28% non. More than half of annual uni enrollments. The rest use own money. Only 8% are scholarship or convertible loan via government or corporates. Or what am I missing here?

@pinenutter That is the only way to look at it. A non with 3 kids = Non has 3 kids to educate A bumi with 3 kids = the taxpayers have 3 kids to educate

@RBairner He played 4 matches in Euro 2012 and 4 matches in Euro 2016. Played every single minute in each match. Sure with the vibe but he was a solid player.

This is such an underrated point when it comes to squad building at a World Cup. When France won in 2018, Deschamps picked Adil Rami essentially for 'vibes'. He didn't play a single minute but was seen as key in the dressing room.

@jaegar00 Depends. If you're working in places like Salak Tinggi, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, KLIA, Bangi or Kajang the distance can range from 6km to 30km. No worse than Selayang people who work in Shah Alam. When I was working in PJ had a despatch clerk who lived in Rawang. 😭💀

@hirona_malaysia My old boss is an Englishman who has been here for 20 years but still can't speak Malay - not even to order food in restaurants. In fact you could still detect his Bristolian accent when he speaks English. Another Bristolian speaks Malay fluently in heavy Terengganu accent.😭💀
