Your code doesn't just need a health score anymore. It needs a bouncer. Iris 1.0.0 ships with Git hooks and build hooks that block bad code before it is pushed or built. Hardcoded secrets? Flagged and penalised. Inline diagnostics? Right in the editor, same as TypeScript. No AI. No cloud. Just your code, a score, and a gate. JS, TS, Go, Python. Free → iriscode.co

My wife wants us to travel to Nigeria to vote next year. I did the math and told her it will cost us around €3k to €5k, and for that money we can get more than 2 votes. She did not get what I meant until I explained that APC will pay N15k to N25k per vote against our €3k to €5k for 2 votes when we consider all the costs associated with travelling to Nigeria and spending a few days. As crazy as it sounds, I’d rather just use the money to buy votes for our preferred candidate. It’s better value for money.

Globally, oil-exporting nations outside the "Hormuz" axis are celebrating high oil prices and running to the bank with excess oil profits. Nigeria, with extensive oil deposits and the largest refinery in all of Africa, is running to the IMF (allegedly) Fuel Subsidy removed, where is the excess revenue? Record oil prices, where is the excess revenue? Exchange gain, where is the excess revenue?

There was a time my friend, who writes Rust, was earning $8k/month from Nigeria. I said say less… I started learning Rust. Two months later, they lost their job and couldn’t find another one for months. Another time I heard people were making crazy money with Solidity. I jumped on that too. At some point I had a reason to switch to every language 😭 But then I stuck with and went deep with the language I chose and it has kept me busy for years. The point is, you’ll get distracted, tempted, and see shiny things everywhere. You better focus. If you don’t, you’ll keep restarting your career every 6 months.

Math isn't just about numbers - it's about finding complex patterns in our world. And there are many ways that you can apply mathematical concepts in programming, beyond what you might've learned in school. In this guide, Tiago discusses the architecture of math – and how you can use it in your code. freecodecamp.org/news/the-archi…

Your president, who is off-grid, flew into Jos where his people had just been attacked by bandits that he is basically funding, and said he had to fly back quickly because there was no light. Make it make sense

Happened to me in Singapore, Cape Town, UAE, etc. Walking from one well lit high rise building to another, heading to your hotel after trying out a local restaurant, and asking yourself "How did that scrawny looking kid from Orile end up here?" Everyone should experience this.
