Struggling to find somewhere to work in the ship this evening. Most of the tables are at coffee table height. The lido deck is too cold, in the coffee place the chairs around the high tables have been taken away so I’m in the garden room. With a good view of an iceberg though!

10 years ago today I was sailing up Tunulliarfik Fjord to Narsarsuaq and Bratthalid in Greenland to see the wonderful icebergs and amazing Norse settlement ruins and reconstructions. And on 8th Aug I’ll be back there! (I’m still pinching myself tbh)

February is the time of year when you'll start to see adult, mostly male hedgehogs who have been too sick to hibernate and have been struggling through winter, but are now succumbing to illness and starvation. ⚠️They will arrive at your feeding station or under your bird feeder looking frail and scruffy. A healthy hedgehog is well rounded and smooth. ⚠️You should never be able to see where their head ends and their body begins, or the shape of their shoulders when they walk or crouch in front of the food. ⚠️No amount of food will heal them, they need medical treatment from a rescue (never a vet).
