It’s interesting how you started by asking the question about republican leadership in states where people can’t get homeowners insurance and then end up at republican leadership in states where some companies don’t offer products. Progressive doesn’t write their own homeowners policies and Farmers isn’t big enough to absorb massive claims. It’s literally called Farmers because they started out by insuring actual farmers.

Spencer Pratt is an elite. Fool blew his $10 million fortune on wine, crystals and partying. He’s a proven liar. Said he was living in a trailer when in fact, he staying in a $1500-a-night hotel in one of the richest parts of LA flanked by personal armed security. While it’s terrible that he lost his house in the fire, he didn’t have homeowners insurance and admitted he was house poor. Thinking it’s a terrible idea to put a political novice who cannot manage his own personal finances in charge of a complex city with a $15 billion budget isn’t “sneering elitism” — it is called common sense.

Mortgage companies require homeowners insurance. In places there is a hurricane/tornado/wind/hail threat, the premiums are typically higher but national carriers have products in those states. You cannot get the flood component of those policies in you’re in a flood zone. The primary drivers of insurance are risks and the cost of claims. CA specifically has policies in the state that drive the risks higher, which has a domino effect and makes conducting business there not beneficial.

Ok, this is why I have a problem with @MrsErikaKirk. According to Megyn she believes Erika wants to keep the pro-Israel donors on board. She is completely ignoring what Charlie said just before they killed him. How can a wife who KNOWS what her husband has decided the night before he is publicly assassinated ignore his wishes? Charlie felt would be killed, by evidence of his messages to @Andrewkolvet and Dan Flood. Erika is ignoring her husbands decision to "LEAVE THE PRO ISRAEL CAUSE" because she WANTS THE MONEY. It's that simple.

For starters, she begins her rant by saying the problem she has with Erika is that someone else says something about her (that is unproven) and then extrapolates that untruth into other things she couldn’t possibly know, like Erika and Charlie’s relationship. The whole “Israel and Jews are in control of everything” act is so boring and tedious. The reality is this lady loves Candace and Candace hates Erika, so she has to hate her too. I met her last week, got engaged on Wednesday, completed all of Catholic marriage prep on Thursday, found a venue Friday, and got married yesterday. Now hire me as Governor so I can deliver this level of speed and efficiency for Florida.

To be fair, the ability to purchase home insurance from a myriad of providers would be an indication that the fire risk wasn’t as high as it was. That being said, the point I was making in the original post is that he didn’t have enough insurance because the leadership of LA and CA are terrible.

@splashvolume @jemelehill He didn't have home owners insurance because his fire rating was high, he was dropped from his insurance and the only insurance he could get was via the state on the "FAIR" plan. The coverage doesn't cover the full amount of the rebuild on the home just so you know.

@spiritfeeler @MLAS @jemelehill State Farm operated in the Palisades for many years. They (and others) stopped offering insurance because it was too risky. And the limits on FAIR are like a million dollars, not nearly enough coverage.
