The DeFi-meets-TradFi KYC problem has been treated as binary: either you KYC everything and lose DeFi's permissionless nature, or you KYC nothing and never get institutional flow. @vnovakovski, CEO of @lighter_xyz, described the third option that his architecture enables. The platform doesn't track KYC. Wallets carry their own verification via zero-knowledge proofs. Those verified wallets can access certain products and trade with certain counterparties. Unverified wallets can still participate in the order book, just with different rules. Citadel can set restrictions on who they face. Both operate in the same book, under different rulesets, without the platform ever holding anyone's personal data.
