Super excited to watch @thesmiletheband in Hamburg tonight. Last saw @radiohead in 2007 when I was pregnant with my daughter. Now stood in the rain with my 17yr old waiting to see them again!

Hey fellow runners @UKRunChat I need a new watch and after 8yrs of Garmin I’m seriously considering my first Apple Watch. Is this a terrible idea for running? Current watch is a forerunner 645. Not really racing but regularly pace races in Shropshire. Thanks! #applewatchseries9

@sprogphysio @UKRunChat For running I don't think you can beat Garmin or Corus. If you want something that looks less 'runny', Garmin do a watch called the Venu 2 or Venu 3 which have Garmin functionality with the sort of smart watch feel. I'm not sure I'd go Apple.

@mattchewone @sprogphysio @UKRunChat Touch screen is awful when sweaty, gps accuracy is questionable and the battery life alone makes it a bad choice if running is one of your primary drivers for the watch. My wife has an Apple Watch, but uses a cheap Garmin to run.

@UKRunChat @sprogphysio I think every single runner I know has a Garmin watch so I've always thought they have to be good if they're what everyone is using. I used to do a lot of Geocaching (need to do more!) and I would only ever use a Garmin GPS.

@ShropCouncil @ShropshireStar we have reported fly tipping of chip fat dumped by an electrical station several times. Our councillor has also done this. Several months on it still sits there. Flammable oil next to an electric sub station. How do we get it shifted? @shropsfire
