@simonsarris Any tips for introducing the practice? Our ~2.25 year old will mostly accept waiting to leave his room until a normal time but only if an adult stays present. Did you have to do a cry it out sort of thing or some more reasoned start to it?

this was starting at 2.5 years old (now our 5 and 3 year old do it) I'm sure some kids cannot possibly be trained etc etc etc. But its very possible.

something we we do that I think everyone should try: regardless of what time they wake up, the children have to play quietly in their rooms until we get them (at like ~7:00am or later) this lets Simi and I have an 30-60 mins by ourselves downstairs each morning
