AI is amazing. It is going to allow me to finish this 20 year old project. I want to show you two things. One I posted earlier, but let me post it again. This video is 20 years old. We ran out of money. Conflict between myself and the director, and a whole bunch of other problems led to this falling apart. Here, Omega Zero fights Bill, who you will meet in issue # 0 and yes this is a spoiler. But now Dilemma of the Seraph. An AI assisted project that is a part of the same story. youtu.be/Vk7UV3QId8A?si… As a creative, why the hell should I hold myself back from telling my story if technology has advanced to where I can? How does it make moral and ethical sense to tell someone who was clinging to the ashes of a dream that he can’t have that dream because some Progressive Luddite’s fee fees got hurt somehow? I’m telling my story. You all can’t stop me. #ai #AIart️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️ #aimovies

@sqa1999 @Grummz You can also have an AI turn photos of objects into whatever art style, then turn them into 3d. It will become much easier to have stylized games.

This is insane!!! Someone just created a tool for Claude that lets it take any image and not just generate an environment, but individual meshes with physics and an ambient sound layer. Unreal, blender ready, etc.

@bl45kc4t @Grummz The work flow for a larger game would take work, but we're taking an order of magnitude less than it would normally take. You could even make physical miniatures, photograph them, import and render them.

@sqa1999 @Grummz Being able to turn an amazing artwork into a 3d environment will rapidly increase the work flow. Most people struggle with a blank canvas. But when they have something to work with and add on to it becomes much easier.

Now answer me this: how does a game with a peak player count of only around 2,200 have that many reviews? And they’re that positive too? This is 100% an industry plant. One would have to be stupid to think this is legitimate.

@OkamiraVT It doesn't remove the creativity, it shifts the workload. Though the core argument is about the "artist" Personality type and how everyone hates the Narcissism. That's the actual cultural-level argument.

THANK YOU, I’ve had my thoughts written out about AI for months so I’m going to go ahead and share them here. Not going to argue with anyone but I don‘t want to be quiet about my thoughts on it any longer either!!

If you're a Christian creator and I see you use AI consistently or defend it, I'm muting you. I'm just really fed up of seeing Christian creators posting slop on my timeline. Before you read further, I'm not looking for an argument on the topic and I will not argue with anyone in the replies. What I say here is the entirety of what I want to say on the topic right now. 1. Generative AI is theft Gen AI scrapes art from thousands of artists across the internet. Most of not all of the big models scrape indiscriminately, meaning they take art they find from websites they have no connection to (so it is not taken under TOS or any sort of agreement). The art is 99% of the time stolen without consent in any form. It's theft, plain and simple. 2. Gen AI is a mockery of creativity. I believe that being able to create is something inherent to being made in God's image. We are the only creatures to create art for no practical reason - just to appreciate beauty. We are created to create, creativity is a form of worship. To let a machine do that for us is a mockery of creativity, a powerful gift God gave us to honour Him with. Furthermore, generating images of God is completely blasphemous. 3. Gen AI is killing creativity. So many people who would have valued art enough to learn to draw, or to write, or to direct films, or to create music have instead settled with using AI to do it for them. I see an enormous amount of people content to "hire out" every creative process and decision in their lives to a soulless machine. Which is tragic for me, because what does that leave you with? As a Christian creator, you simply should not support AI. On top of these reasons, I haven't even mentioned the horrific impact it's had on the environment, the cultural impact of AI and convenience culture, or how insulting it is to your brothers and sisters in Christ who are artists. "I'm too broke to hire artists." That's okay, I'm not asking you to hire artists. Tbh, I would be happier if you learned how to draw yourself. I don't buy art either because of the same reason - I'm broke and I can't afford it lol. But that doesn't excuse you participating in a system that is stealing already finished work from artists and slowly killing the last shred of appreciation for process and hard work left in the West. You're not entitled to art. You do not have a right to have art done of you or your character or anything. You simply just do not get to have it if you're not willing to obtain it through moral means. Furthermore, creators have been surviving online just fine without AI for quite a while. There are ways to make it by without getting new pieces of art every five seconds. And I'd actually be willing to help anyone who wants help in that regard ^^ "You just don't want AI to steal your job" Nah. I know this is a big issue people make with AI, but I don't think it's a good argument tbh. Because technology is always changing the way society works. People lose jobs to advances in technology all the time. Personally, I started my art career after AI was already a thing. I know I can survive just fine with it out there, as I know most artists can do the same. The issue I take with AI isn't self serving or motivated by fear. I am simply claiming that AI is morally wrong on so many degrees and I'm tired of seeing other Christians support it. It's frustrating. I plan to make a video at some point talking about just how Generative AI works, it's history, it's impact, and what it's future looks like. Until then, this is my obligatory yap. And hey, if you do use AI and want to talk to me about it (respectfully and calmly) and perhaps workshop solutions to your content that doesn't involve AI or throwing loads of cash down the drain, I am more than happy to talk. I'm not blocking anyone, just muting so I don't have to get flashbanged by AI slop every time I open this app XD Thanks! ❤️ Phrog

@AI_EmeraldApple This is probably supposed to appeal to millennials but as a millennial, I hate it. I'm an hour in and this and none of this writing is anywhere near a 10/10. If I saw a movie in the 90s like this, I'd cry and ask my mom if we could leave.

This is why I said even if Mixtape was a movie, I'd rate it a 3/10. The dialogue and the writing are terrible, filled with so many cringe moments that make your skin crawl just listening to it. For so many in the mainstream, this dumpster fire of a dialogue gets 10/10 because too many people have never been confronted with real problems with actual consequences, so this absolutely unrealistic rant by the cop's daughter gets endless applause. It just shows how unserious so many in the MSM are.

@bl45kc4t @Grummz This is beyond photogrammetry, though you could also do a pass of that pretty soon as well. This is going to make Concept Artists even more in demand. Have them sketch something, do a Img2Img pass to make it hit a physical reality style, then workflow to Blender.

@NotAzehara There was zero passion involved in the creation of Mixtape. It screams of being given a year to develop without adequate leadership/supervision and they piddled around until deadline loomed, then panic fed it to AI while a couple weirdos obsessed over tongue/saliva physics.

Game journalist and those who agree with them are the most gullible ass consoomers in the entire market. Not only is Mixtape not a masterpiece, but it's fucking lazy and almost certainly used AI: - Game has a random house dead in the middle of a public street, with a 2-way garage that you skate through. - The cassette (mix) tape that the very game is based around has weird little inconsistencies that makes it seem like it wasn't designed by a human, such as missing film, 7 spokes instead of 6, being upside down, etc. - The headphones the main character uses are the third result in a Google search for "90s headphones." Literally identical. - Mostly speculation, but people have noticed stark, peculiar similarities between the games dialogue/prose style and ChatGPT. Also: by adding things like fail states, or fleshing out the mild parkour mechanics the game has and giving players even the most moderate of challenges... where a mistake could cause them to arrive at their destination too late and trigger a different ending... or hell, even through the use of simple yet clever mechanics... the game could've added real weight and stakes to its more important "running and skating" moments. The absence of these features inexplicably in a "game..." are precisely what failed to elevate it. It genuinely makes me believe that the team behind Mixtape spent more money on the lootcrates they sent to game journalists with custom designed gadgets, if we ignore the extremely expensive music licenses. Let's assume I'm wrong... the developers have openly spoke about how much "time and effort" went into their tongue kissing minigame, how they had to create their own system for the "strands of saliva." Fucking... why? This literally added nothing to the game outside of a cheap quick gag (pun intended). What kind of braindead creative decision led them to spend most of their budget on this? And remember: the game is called "Mixtape," they literally could not even get the Mixtape that the ENTIRE GAME is based around designed right. Nor could they be bothered to learn how cassette tapes actually... work... something that 10 minutes of research could've accomplished. The point in saying all this, is that Mixtape is fucking LAZY. Thrown together, hastily designed slop that probably used AI being called a "generational masterpiece" by journalist retards who are deeply out of touch. Anyways, if anyone looks you in the eyes and tells you that Mixtape is some "higher art" that we simply cannot comprehend, and in fact it's a 10/10 masterpiece... I want you to laugh that person out of the room, and inform them that their opinions are forever invalid.

@NezahualDoomer2 @ALegendaryDrops I don't think it's a self-interest. I think they proposed the game specifically to appeal to Megan. They made the game for her, and that's all that mattered, in the end.

@Victor_Hedrust @MasteroftheTDS @WritingRaven2 The wild part is you could absolutely make a 10/10 Vibe & Chill "game" like that space. But you'd need creators with self-reflection, emotional depth and intellectual curiosity. Which you got none of. Background designers were good, though.

@fumoossfruunk @Polygon The Boy would have died in the meth scene. That girl would have OD'd on Oxy in the early 2010s. The central character would be an SSRI-addicted harpy, that absolutely would have gone to the Hat March in 2016.

@Mankosmash @ALegendaryDrops I think it's targeted to people on drugs, legal or not. Because anyone that grew up from the 80s through 2000s would recognize the "going to fail at life" archetypes they used. No one actually liked those losers in high school.

@ALegendaryDrops It's made for people old enough to have nostalgia for stuff from the late 80s to mid 90s - so like 40+ year old millennials who "just want to feel things", but don't want to have to use their brains to follow something like a plot or any gameplay.
