@ttjanszen @DerekCarty I mean, he literally says in the post that he misread the data. Not that the data changed. So you are, in fact, not reading what he wrote correctly.

Those of us who use research as the cornerstone of decision making, know that for the research to change some new data/information has to occur. There hasn’t been a single game played in between what you originally said and what you are saying now. If I’m reading what you wrote correctly, you are admitting to using bad data for the article and now you are using someone else’s data. If that is true, then isn’t everything in that article wrong? Bad data equals bad projections. It is also true that you hurt your own credibility not fully explaining the difference in the data sets. Anyone who doesn’t understand (or care to understand) why knowledgeable fans would take offense to your nonsensical article is not up to the job. The Red’s staff is their strength, and anyone with two wits of knowledge about baseball knows that. You “liking” a pitcher has nothing to do with anything, your research should be dispassionate.

Mea culpa: I'd like to apologize to Reds fans for calling their pitching staff "nearly bottom 5." I think I misread the data somehow. I still do not believe in Abbott, and I have their bullpen projected below-average, but my new stuff-based projections actually love Greene and Burns and have their rotation top 5.
