Now the part many people deliberately ignore. Even AFTER all the revisions, India’s petrol price increase is only around 7.7%. Still one of the LOWEST in the entire world. Look at where everyone else landed. Delhi petrol: ~₹102/L. UK: ~₹170/L. Germany: above ₹210/L. Netherlands: ~₹235/L. Same crisis. Same crude shock. We import 85% of it. And we still came out cheaper than nations that are far richer than us. Let that sink in. The world is STILL in a major energy crisis. India didn’t magically escape it. India MANAGED it better than most major economies on the planet. The difference between passing the shock to your people and standing in front of it has a name. It’s called governance.

Indian oil companies reporting profits while also losing nearly ₹1,000 crore a day is not a contradiction. It is how oil economics works during a global energy shock. The profits being reported today come from cheaper crude purchased before the Strait of Hormuz disruption. That older inventory is now being refined and sold at current market-linked prices, creating temporary inventory gains. But the crude arriving in India today is far more expensive. And unlike many countries that passed the entire burden directly to consumers, India chose partial consumer protection by preventing immediate full-price pass-through at the pump. So OMCs are currently absorbing a large part of the global crude shock in real time. Old crude = accounting profits. New crude = operational losses. If elevated crude prices continue, the financial impact will become visible in upcoming quarterly results.

Things like, "In this Pub Shakespeare drank coffee" or this market is being continually running since 10th century etc. Even when repair and renovation work is done, they retain the outside facade the same way as it was in early times because there is value in heritage and legacy but Modi has been destroying one building after the another all the time invoking some or the other hate. BJP govt keeps inventing somebody to hate and the RW mob blindly hates the new target without realizing that when we destroy the legacy, we are destroying our own history. For 113 years, Delhi Gymkhana Club also carried our history or intellectual debates, freedom movement. Of course, that history has no participation by RSS or Right Wing Hindutva ideologues. Of course the BJP hates India's legacy because they have no contribution to that legacy.
