@JamesTaylor_com How does it end then? Which son are you sending Ben or Henry? Russia clearly has no ability to expand the war so the whole appeasement argument is foolish. Let the killing stop, senseless at this point.

One of the worst people I've ever known built their entire personality around mindfulness and spirituality, yet they somehow managed to be one of the most disingenuous and conniving people I've ever tolerated. Unfortunately, most people couldn't see past their carefully curated mask. Be wary of people who constantly signal because they're very likely full of shit.

Game on. $TSLA shareholders voted to give Elon Musk his ridiculous compensation plan. I expect another Enron type collapse by the Q3 earnings release.

@fredlambert So you actually believe what a pack of perennial liars say on X? Obvious that every single short wants Elon gone from Tesla. He leaves the stock tanks, Tesla is not ready for a “Tim Cook” type manager yet. Maybe in a few years but not now.

@fredlambert I find it beyond amazing that you have completely destroyed your reputation with this personal Waterloo against Elon. Alienating long time readers and siding with the hedge fund crowd who imploded their funds shorting TSLA years ago is no way to run Electrek…

The only way that I can see some type of quick resolution is if Elon gets his friend Abbott to find a judge with the cojones to circumvent the Delaware decision in the new business court that Tesla is incorporating into. I wouldnt be surprised if that’s the plan based on this… but even then that would be challenged.

Trust me, or don’t, but my goal is not to poop on anyone’s party. I just have a hard time seeing the way out for Tesla regardless of the vote going Elon/the board’s way. So even if your #1 goal is for Elon to get paid, it’s admittedly not mine, the success of Tesla’s mission is (and we can politely disagree about how Elon plays into that these days), it just doesn’t seem to be happening. So I don’t get the celebration. I’m already hearing of a bunch of new cases being filed regarding the entire proxy battle. The way Elon and the board handled this whole thing seem to inevitably lead to many long legal battles. You can take your victory lap, but unless you are a lawyer involved in this, I’m not sure why you would.

@GasBuddyGuy Optics suck or just the policy to lower the SPR to levels last seen in the 80’s sucks? You still claiming that huge SPR sales were a great idea and US can “make money”? Forget politics this was a reckless policy used for temporary benefits and anyone being honest knew it…

I will say the optics suck, but from a simple logical lens, it does make sense. Does the timing lead some to be suspect? yup, and I get it. but to have to fill the NGSR up with fuel every spring and add more pressure to the market doesn't make sense either.

Today, the DOE announced it's shutting down the NGSR, which only served the Northeast- the important context is that Trump's 2020 budget proposal ALSO included shutting down the NGSR as well as selling 15 million barrels from the SPR.

I see many people having issues voting against Elon's comp package due to the argument that the milestones in the plan were already accomplished. Many believe it is "immoral" not to pay Elon his package and vote on this for anything other than the actual comp package. Yes, morality has been brought up to me. Some see it as immoral not to give Elon $55 billion in stock. While I certainly wouldn't go that far, I do share the sentiment that the vote should be just about the comp package. However, it is not that simple. 1—First off, if you want to stick completely to the comp package, there's an argument that now, with the knowledge from the litigation that Elon and his team came up with the comp and the board signed up on it with little to no negotiating and without any clause related to Elon's employment/time spent on Tesla or restrictions on conflicts of interest, you can reasonably vote against it. This certainly factors into my decision. But there's more. 2- While I again share the sentiment that we shouldn't account for our opinion of Elon over the last two years into the decision, what other option do we have if we as shareholders have disagreements with the board and Elon. The board and Elon have both proven that they have no efficient feedback loop. That has been broken by Elon's social media addiction, his sycophants, and the board's too-close relationship with Elon. Even @KoguanLeo, the largest retail investor in Tesla, can't get his concerns heard. 3- We also now know what Elon does after exercising shares from Tesla stock options. What did he do with his 2012 comp package? He sold it to buy Twitter, turn it into a pay-to-play platform and claimed that those who pay are basically donating to free speech. A complete farce. The way he unloaded those shares also contributed to crashing the stock. It would be voting against my own interest as a Tesla shareholder to do it again. For all those reasons combined, I think I need to vote against and I think it's OK to use the vote as a vote of confidence against Elon rather than just the comp package. Because I do believe that Elon is making some moves at Tesla now that are not aligned with the mission. If you want to talk about morality, I think that's not moral.
Fred Lambert@FredLambert

I voted some of my Tesla $TSLA shares (the rest is in another broker account). "Tesla proposal to ratify the 100% performance-based stock option award to Elon Musk that was proposed to and approved by our stockholders in 2018." Tesla's board is being ridiculous. They didn't learn anything and they are begging for more lawsuit with the way they are presenting this.

I used to fucking LOVE sushi and especially ngiri. Was a consistent post gym ritual. Until I learned that 99% of all salmon sold everywhere is farm raised: ie. they grow up anxious, stressed, pumped full of hormones, antibiotics, swimming and eating each other’s shit, and riddled with parasites and diseases Don’t eat salmon unless you know for a fact it is premium grade wild caught.
