@BozadaLou What are you even talking about? ALU-IBT Local 1 is a union of warehouse workers that are undeniably employees of the company. And the National Labor Relations Board ruled that Amazon is the joint employer of DSP drivers. Think you need to get your facts straight

Amazon uses a delivery model utilizing Delivery Service Partners (DSPs).
These independent businesses called DSPs actually deliver packages to customers. And there are thousands of these individual owners around the country. DSPs are responsible for: 
 ◦Hiring, training, and managing their own drivers.
 ◦Setting the compensation for their employees, including wages, bonuses, benefits, and other incentives. In other words these DSP's are all individuals who took out loans or used their life savings to buy and operate their own businesses. They also sign contracts with Amazon to deliver in specific geographical areas. Not really sure what the Teamsters are really trying to accomplish here. They're actually attacking the individual DSP owners. Imagine if you can trying to unionize a small independent contractor who maybe owns and operates 12 trucks of his own and has maybe 14 or 15 employees. He or she has to make payroll, workers comp ins payments, corporate taxes, benefits, etc. Only making what your contractual agreement affords you from Amazon for delivering their packages. And then a union comes in and tries to get union wages from these independent owners? Somebody needs to rethink this. This is the very reason why Amazon officials have come out on the news and made the statement, they have no reason to respond to the union because they don't have any delivery drivers themselves. This is not a large corporation called Amazon like many are portraying this out to be. There are a lot of uninformed people commenting on this. Please get your facts straight before commenting.

On Dec 21, my union @amazonlabor went on strike for the first time. I’m still processing and get emotional (happy tears) thinking about how much we’ve grown and how strong our movement has become. The fight isn’t over—we’re coming for that contract, no matter what it takes!✊🏽💪🏽🔥

These last few days have been some of the most amazing of my life. Out on strike, standing side by side in the blistering cold with my brothers and sisters as we fight for a better world. Amazon is coming to the table whether they like it or not. Our movement is unstoppable!

We, the workers at the JFK8 Amazon Fulfillment Center, have authorized the Amazon Labor Union-IBT Local 1 and the Teamsters Amazon National Negotiating Committee to call a ULP strike if Amazon doesn’t meet its legal obligation to bargain by Dec. 15. Amazon, the clock is ticking!
