Added a banked reset to 500k users of ChatGPT Work and Codex. What’s been happening: - Just released the ability to use a banked reset from web and mobile. Before today you could only do it in the desktop app - Had an issue where less than 10% of users who used a banked reset and it didn’t actually reset. This was during a 2 hour window. - It was hard to find all the exact users where it didn’t apply, so instead granted a banked reset to everyone who pressed the reset button in that 2 hour window. This also gives us the opportunity to validate the new infra ahead of tomorrow Tomorrow we will celebrate our 7M active users milestone and grant the first banked reset across all of our ChatGPT Work and Codex users. We will also release a bunch of updates to the desktop app, addressing a ton of your feedback. Talk soon

Good new first: Sol is a smart, efficient, and a significant step forward. It is the same price as GPT-5.5. Also launching in the GPT-5.6 family is Terra, with 5.5-level performance at half the price. Bad news: at the request of the US government, it is launching today in limited preview instead of the open access launch we were planning on. We are working with the government to get to general availability as fast as we can. I think it is quite reasonable to roll out models--especially as they reach significant new levels of capability--in this way. It fits with our long-held strategy of iterative deployment. But this isn't quite the process that we think is optimal. Now we will with the government to attempt to get to a transparent, reliable process for early access, and to ensure that as long as our safeguards work as intended we can release widely. We want to be a reliable, dependable partner that works with all stakeholders, and we also want to live by our mission of benefiting all of humanity. I believe the government shares most of our goals, and that they are overall doing a good job in a very difficult situation. We will work as quickly as we can to get this model in your hands and we hope you will love it.

@srjitan @thsottiaux I lost about 2k tokens right after purchasing Pro. With 100% limits I could see my credits number going slowly down every second and there was no credit usage recorded. I talked with support, they told me to replicate the issue and record it xddd I didn't get them back :)

I have a new kind of big button that I can press for Codex. Over the next 100 days, we will select one person per day who does impressive or incredibly useful work with Codex and give them 10X usage limits for a month to see what they can do with it. First one tomorrow.

@thsottiaux Meanwhile Deepseek V4 Pro has been a workhorse burning 27M tokens over the last month for only $4. The choice for top up is clear -- even if I have to deal with DS's frequent reward hacking.

@thsottiaux I have ZERO trust in the Codex ‘buy more credits’ system. I had 500 credits depleted while 20x Pro still showed >30% week/5hr usage remaining. Now it says ‘No credit usage recorded yet.’ Do I have to be an exceptional builder to be treated respectfully at $200/mo?

Miscarriage rates increased 300% by 2024. ⭕️ Stage 3 - Preventing delivery: 55,000 women lack prenatal care. Fifteen women weekly deliver in “appalling conditions”—public bathrooms, without hospitals. Erakat describes C-sections without anesthesia, and “pain beyond human tolerance.” ⭕️ Stage 4 - Preventing survival: Famine has been confirmed. Over 60% of mothers can’t produce milk due to starvation. At least 450 babies were born and killed during the genocide. She urged the Council to ensure any end to the genocide does not come at the expense of accountability or international law—calling for UN, not Israeli, oversight of Gaza. She also called for protection of ICC and ICJ proceedings, and for ensuring that Palestinian women take part in rebuilding Gaza. “Should you be paralyzed by fear, look to Palestinian women. They refused to surrender. Neither should you,” she concluded.
