Police unleashed brutal repression against the protest march held in Delhi against the vindictive actions being carried out by central agencies against CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan. During the march organised by CPI(M) activists to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Delhi, Party General Secretary Comrade M.A. Baby was brutally manhandled by the police and forcibly dragged into a vehicle. PB member Comrade Viju Krishnan, along with several leaders and activists, was also taken into custody. The police used force to suppress a democratic protest against political vendetta. Earlier, prohibitory orders had been imposed around the ED headquarters, and a massive police deployment had been put in place to block the protesters.
