@NickTheSerene @ChrisCarranza @iWomansplainer Ron was never Joe average. The guy went on to become an Auror. Was a prefect from Gryffindor over all other guys in his year, even if you overlook Harry. And he was very knowledgeably about Wizarding things in ways even Hermione didn’t know.

@ChrisCarranza @iWomansplainer The author is free to craft the story they wish to. It never made any sense to me that a brilliant, driven girl like Hermione would find joe average Ron attractive. The man had no skills. Similarly Harry with Ginny never made sense to me.

I used to think this too until I re-read the books. The movies failed to capture Ron’s intelligence and charm. Hermione, an only child from a muggle family, would be drawn to the large, magical Weasley family. She also is not meant to be drop-dead gorgeous like Emma Watson, and Ron is supposed to be very tall and become quite attractive. Her relationship with Ron is a slow burn, but it makes complete sense.

The main change that I want from the Harry Potter HBO Show is Harry and Hermione ending up together at the end. Even J. K. Rowling has admitted she made a mistake with putting her with Ron. This change needs to happen.

The biggest fail from the movie adaptations was treating Ron & Ginny the way they did so now we have these “movie fans” convinced Harry/Hermione need to happen when it absolutely does not. I will never forgive them for it.

@postmaster_ron @us4ama_k @fuiprahogwarts Yeah, I disagree here. He was given nothing to do there. I think he was terrific in the scene in DH1 where he and Harry fight. Never had an issue with his acting when he actually got the material.

@postmaster_ron @us4ama_k @fuiprahogwarts I think that’s a load of nonsense! Rupert was really good. Beto don’t buy the argument of Rupert being weaker at all. He was the best of the three at the beginning. They just pigeonholed him as comic relief and never gave him the big dramatic scenes he has in the book.

@Rajiv1841 Starc's got a history of being iffy at the IPL. Cummins has probably been one of the most dedicated Aussie IPL players, which is why he was given the captaincy. Hazelwood has major injury history with the IPL.

Josh Hazlewood & Pat Cummins are injured with no availability for initial phase of IPL & still they made it to their respective teams before start of IPL. On other hand, Mitchell Starc who is completely fit & resting ever since Ashes in January is not available for DC. Lol!

Harry spent seven entire books going after every other girl at Hogwarts while never expressing the slightest interest in Hermione. Harry literally has more chemistry with Myrtle the toilet ghost than he does with Hermione. But Ron was infatuated from the moment he laid eyes on her. Did you not read “Goblet of Fire”? Ron was playing mind games with Hermione by not asking her to the Yule Ball and then Victor Krum asked her first, and she accepted, and Ron absolutely lost his mind. Then Ron and Harry asked Parma and Parvati but completely ignored them at the dance because Harry was obsessed with Cho Chang and Ron was obsessed with Hermione. The entire Black Lake challenge was about Harry and Ron being cucked, because Cedric was sent to rescue Cho, Krum was sent to rescue Hermione, and Ron had to be rescued and Harry had to rescue Ron. Also, in “Order of the Phoenix,” Rita Skeeter wrote in the Daily Prophet that Hermione was Harry’s girlfriend and Harry was icked out while Ron was jealous and furious. If you were shipping Harry with Hermione, that is your fault, because it was never once implied by the source material. Ron and Hermione ending up together is their whole seven-book arc.

@blossom_weasley Hopefully they re-habilitate the character. Steve Kloves did so much damage to the character, and frankly to Hermione too by making Ron pure comic relief and making Hermione the ultimate Mary Sue.

What made the HARRY POTTER films so magical and special was how each one matured cinematically, virtually in rhythm with the performers and the audience. I'm not sure how to replicate that with a series that already appears to have matured.
