.@repschneider @SenatorDurbin @SenDuckworth Please support The Keeping All Students Safe Act to end seclusion and restraint! Schools should be a place where students feel safe but those with disabilities are often subjected to dangerous and traumatizing practices! #KASSA

@prowag Two friends of mine have experienced ectopic pregnancies who would be dead now under 100% pro-life policies.

Setting aside the loss of rights (I know), I now live in a country where - if my daughters do want to become pregnant - they need to have a list of where that's possible as having a miscarriage or complication that requires an abortion is now their death sentence in some states.

@SenDuckworth @SenatorDurbin @RepSchneider Adding support for impeachment. President is unfit for office. Those who voted not to accept the election results broke their oath to the Constitution. Reject calls for Unity without accountability.

@SenatorDurbin @SenDuckworth #WhatWeNeed is dedicated #HCBS funding. Also PPE for Direct Support Staff and Economic Stimulus Payments for all people with disabilities, including those claimed as dependents. Left out so far. It's time to fix that!

Damn. I got these to wrap my dog’s pain medication in, but I just stuffed a slice into my mouth and man, I forgot how good these taste. I see your homemade caramelized shallot pasta and artisanal sourdough blah blah, but I say, kiss my Double Stuf Oreos and Kraft Singles.

There are no easy decisions in a pandemic. I have sympathy for leaders struggling with those choices — but not for those so intent on disregarding science & logic that they put people’s lives at risk. You weren’t elected to do what’s easy. You were elected to do what’s right.

@GovPritzker Thank you for the recognition of special education teachers. As a parent, that meant the world to me during an announcement that confirmed my son won’t be back in his wonderful classroom again with his teacher. So thank you for the special call-our to these wonderful teachers.

To the teachers, special ed instructors, and administrators who have dedicated themselves to their students — my heart is with you. Know that your efforts to reach your classrooms through new, creative ways mean the world to your students, and to me.

There is $569 million to support our K-12 schools from the federal CARES Act in response to COVID-19, dollars that can help equip students with technology and internet access, support teachers and assist schools in continuing to provide meals to children and communities.

Lori Lightfoot will be Chicago's first openly gay and first black woman mayor. She has promised to put an end to the city's political machine "once and for all" and shine a bright light on corruption. n.pr/2WmMVGt
