Members of Congress return to the Capitol tomorrow for votes. Our first order of business should be passing @rosadelauro's bill that would separate appropriations consideration for ICE and CPB from the remainder of the critical operations under the Department of Homeland Security. I hope my Republican colleagues will work with Democrats to fully fund TSA, FEMA, the Coast Guard, and other critical agencies, while we continue working to address the constitutional abuses and gross mismanagement of ICE and CBP.

This is good news. Vaccines are safe. Vaccines save lives. Secretary Kennedy's efforts to undermine trust in vaccines are not just dangerous -- they're deadly.

Good. But he should have been fired months ago after bringing chaos, violence, and terror to our community.

Last year, Republicans kicked millions off of their health care: 📈 Premiums increased by an average of 114% 📉 Over $1 trillion in health care cuts This is the Republican health care plan in action: skipped meals just to afford medicine.

Thursday's attack at Temple Israel — the nation's largest Reform synagogue—is an attack on all Americans. Statement on yesterday's attack from the 21 members of the Congressional Jewish Caucus:

Horrified and heartbroken by today’s attack at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan, where an armed assailant rammed a truck into the synagogue and opened fire while children were inside the building’s early childhood center. Thanks to the heroic actions of the synagogue’s security team, the attacker was stopped and families are able to hold their children tonight. I’m deeply grateful that no children, staff, or congregants were killed or injured, and I wish the injured security officer a swift recovery. This attack was meant to terrorize a Jewish community at prayer and is one of several attacks targeting Jewish houses of worship across North America in recent weeks. No parent should have to wonder if their child is safe at preschool. No congregation should have to fear gathering to pray. We cannot accept or normalize antisemitic violence. I stand with the congregation of Temple Israel and with Jewish communities everywhere.

The reports that the US errantly struck a girl's school in Iran are absolutely devastating. I fear this tragedy is not a consequence of the fog of war, but of a reckless rush to war. The Administration must release the full findings of its investigation and provide a complete accounting to Congress. It remains abundantly clear that Secretary Hegseth is unqualified for his position and should be immediately relieved of his duties and removed from his office. My statement on the strike:

Schools should be a safe place for our children to learn, grow and thrive— preschoolers, college students, and their teachers alike. While we wait for the facts before drawing any conclusions about motives in these shootings, we don’t need to wait, and we shouldn’t wait, to do more to keep our kids safe. Enough is enough.

Devastated to see news of not one but TWO school shootings today — first at Old Dominion University in Virginia, and later at a synagogue and preschool in Michigan. Praying for all impacted by these awful events.
