Trump endorsed Paxton just to spite Senate Majority Leader Thune, when Thune refused to break Senate rules at Trump’s instruction. It was that petty. MAGA in a nutshell: do what Trump says. Chip Roy and Mayes Middleton have already pledged to use the power of the AG give Trump whatever he wants.
