If India survives Modi. That's a big if. So far, there's no sign of being able to run the country for the well-being of the masses, while there is every sign that he will hold on to power by hook or by crook - mostly by crook - by compromising institutions or outright violence. By the time the public gets disillusioned enough, there will be little left to loot - but also no resources to rebuild with. Newer generations are growing up entirely out of touch with reality or the building blocks of civilization, so to say. Rational thinking is at an all time low. I seriously don't think our grandparents were as dumb as our contemporaries. So far the Modi Era is looking more like the end of India than just a dark age to recover from.
Capt.Naresh Singh@nareshbareth

In my opinion Modi era will go down in history as the dark age of India. Who all agrees?

Global list of 100 hottest cities has 92 in India. Global list of 100 most polluted cities has over 90 Indian cities. Why has it happened? And why there is no solution in sight? @RahulGandhi ‘s visit to Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a reminder of what has gone wrong. I write ✍️ thewire.in/environment/cl…

Was destroying Hasdeo Aranya supposed to make India stronger against China? Was crushing tribal rights part of some “national security” masterplan? Is flattening the Aravallis also aimed at countering Beijing? Or is China just a convenient excuse, the perfect ghost to justify every act of destruction? Because the truth is simpler. And uglier. China is already inside our borders, especially in Arunachal Pradesh, building, expanding, asserting claims. And the Modi government’s response? Silence. After the Galwan Valley clash and the sacrifice of 20 soldiers, what we saw wasn’t a resolve, it was denial. “Na koi ghusa hai, na koi ghus aaya hai.” A film by Salman Khan on Galwan, on our soldiers’ sacrifice? Not allowed, lest China gets offended. The MEA even admitted the obvious, China is a bigger economy. So we tiptoe. But the moment Shri Rahul Gandhi raises concerns about forests and ecological damage in Andaman & Nicobar, suddenly it’s all about the “Chinese threat.” Convenient. Destroy forests. Displace tribals. Hand over resources, all in the name of fighting China. What a strategy. Will anything be left for future generations to breathe, to live? Same script. Same players. Same beneficiaries. Call it what it is: The Great Corporate Plunder of a naturally wealthy India.

@mannu_kath That’s electioneering but he’s a PM, his job is way more serious and critical which he clearly is failing. He shouldn’t be campaigning first of all but if he finds it all difficult like his main job he should quit immediately.

Keyboard warriors sitting in AC room keep complaining about their desires not getting fulfilled . But even those half of his age cannot even stay outside just for 30 mins. He is spending whole day in sun just to save states from anti national governments. Reason why I can't see him lose even local panchayat elections

A Russian student who disappeared in the Himalayas in 2021 during a solo trek was discovered four years later by National Geographic journalists as the guardian of a high-altitude Buddhist monastery in Nepal. 24-year-old Alina Vetrova left Annapurna Base Camp and never returned. A rescue operation lasted three weeks, but an avalanche left her presumed dead. Her parents held a symbolic funeral in Novosibirsk. In early 2025, however, a crew filming a documentary about lost monasteries discovered a young European-looking woman dressed in monastic robes and speaking fluent Tibetan and Nepali in a remote mountain temple at an altitude of 4,800 meters. It turns out that Alina, who had lost consciousness from altitude sickness, was found by hermit monks, who cared for her for several months with herbal infusions. When she regained consciousness, the passes were already covered in snow - the descent was impossible until summer. During these months, she began to study Tibetan medicine and meditation. According to the abbot, Alina had developed a rare gift - she could accurately recognize medicinal mountain herbs by their aroma, which the monks took as a sign of a reborn soul. She was given the name Tenzin Dolma and began training to succeed the monastery's apothecary, a position not held by anyone for 40 years. Alina is now in charge of a collection of over 600 species of high-altitude plants. She wears a traditional burgundy robe, her head is shaved, and on her wrists she wears ritual yak bone bracelets, which she is allowed to wear as a sign of status. A dot of saffron paste is applied to her forehead daily during the morning ceremony. When journalists ask her if she wants to return, Alina replies in Russian with a strong accent: “I’m already home. The mountains do not let out those they choose.” Her parents have flown to Kathmandu. The meeting is scheduled for the end of the month. (Via Shiv Kar Courtesy Rajiv Tyagi wall from Facebook)

Today we learnt that if you destroy 1 cr trees of one of the oldest growth forests in the world to build port/hotels/casinos then you can build a township of ~3L people in one of the most seismically active zones in the world and you also get to call it your own Strait of Chomuz.

Whichever global index you ask for, India is lagging behind, lingering near the bottom. This is what Narendra Modi has done to India. The country is reeling under Modi s corruption leading to a disaster lifestyle for Indias where air, water, food, climate everything is polluted and the govt controls the media which has no freedom thereby ignoring real issues of the people and becoming the cheerleader of the failed govt.

Reliance building a 1.5 GW data centre in Vizag - Here's the uncomfortable truth behind that shiny headline . . • 100 MW uses 2 MILLION LITRES/DAY - That’s city-level water, for servers • Consumes power = 1.5 GW - nuclear plant level power demand. India still 70% fossil fuel powered. So more coal, more CO₂ Runs on diesel when needed. Heats up everything around it Servers stay chilled Water tables evaporate Coal plants smile 😏

95 of 100 hottest cities on Earth are in India right now. Modi is felling millions of trees: - Ancient forests razed for mines. - Mangroves flattened for ports. India’s cooling system dismantled while we bake at 44°C. Corporations get the forests. You get the heatstroke.

Thousands of slums burned down across the country, but not a single media outlet covered it. No one knows who was behind it. When a fire broke out in a posh society, the entire media rushed there, and even the CM took cognizance. Being poor is the biggest crime in this country.

Rahul Gandhi just walked through the forest Modi wants to flatten. Here’s what won’t make it to the press release: → Govt told Parliament 8.65 lakh trees would be felled. Scientists say the actual number is 1 CRORE+ → Adani Group filed an official expression of interest to build the Great Nicobar port → ANIIDCO literally self-certified its own environmental clearance; its MD was simultaneously the Environment & Forests Secretary of the islands → The Chief Secretary who chairs ANIIDCO’s board was also on the committee investigating complaints against the project → Coastal maps were quietly reclassified from CRZ-1A (prohibited) → CRZ-B (permitted) to make the port “legal”; with zero public disclosure of the methodology → The Nicobarese tribes withdrew their consent in 2022, citing unsettled forest rights. The project moved forward anyway This is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Two national parks. The last home of the Shompen people; all 200 of them. And the government is bulldozing it for a port that Adani wants to run. Rahul Gandhi is right. This isn’t a project. It’s a heist in the tricolour’s clothing.
Rahul Gandhi@RahulGandhi

I travelled through Great Nicobar today. These are the most extraordinary forests I have ever seen in my life. Trees older than memory. Forests that took generations to grow. The people on this island are equally beautiful - both the adivasi communities and the settlers - but they are being robbed of what is rightfully theirs. The government calls what it is doing here a “Project.” What I have seen is not a project. It is millions of trees marked for the axe. It is 160 square kilometres of rainforest condemned to die. It is communities that have been ignored while their homes have been snatched away. This is not development. This is destruction dressed in development’s language. So I will say it plainly, and I will keep saying it: what is being done in Great Nicobar is one of the biggest scams and gravest crimes against this country’s natural and tribal heritage in our lifetime. It must be stopped. And it can be stopped - if Indians choose to see what I have seen.

Dear PM @narendramodi, US OFAC just sanctioned Modi for trafficking fentanyl precursors to the Sinaloa Cartel. This is the 4th Gujarat-based chemical firm indicted or sanctioned by the US in 25-26 alone. A Bellingcat investigation and a Lancet paper both point to a precursor supply link to Africa. The US 2025 Annual Threat Assessment now ranks India as the #2 global source of illicit fentanyl precursor chemicals. This reputation damage will not stop at a few Surat firms. It will move through the system. A $30 billion+ pharma export industry built over decades faces real risk, as US and EU buyers start demanding intrusive end-use audits and certifications. From there it is a short step to heightened FDA and DEA scrutiny, Section 301-style trade actions, and fentanyl-linked tariff pressure on a sector India cannot afford to lose. You are handing the US another lever to squeeze India with. Fix this now. We do not want to go from being the Pharmacy of the World to the Precursor Hub of the World. Please don't screw up!

MAPS REDRAWN FOR ADANI | Between 2020 and 2021, corals vanished from the maps of Great Nicobar island’s coastline while vital green zones were dramatically reduced in size. Modi did this to sanction the Great Nicobar islands project to Adani. Think of their planning of scams. Read the full story @_Vaishnavi_R who took the pain to travel to the island despite all hurdles Govt gave and wrote the story about the great loot of Nicobar. scroll.in/article/108791…
