Models need to train on environments that replicate the real world. No one does that better than @micro1_ai. To give you a better understanding of what today’s launch is: Micro1 Intelligence is a catalog that the big AI Labs can explore, choose which domain they want to improve their models on, and then connect to Micro1’s platform/data to improve them. This type of Reinforcement Learning environment (think: filling out tax forms, multi-step software engineering workflows, enterprise legal negotiations, etc) will drive the next rev of improvements in foundational models. Awesome launch today @micro1_ai team!

We’re grateful to be partnering with leading AI Labs & fortune 10s, such as Microsoft, to train frontier LLMs. We’re just getting started building the infrastructure layer for AGI, with the ultimate goal of answering the very fundamental question: “where should humanity spend its time?”

Huge day indeed for AI and LLMs, congrats to Meta 👏 This is now the most capable LLM available directly as weights to anyone from researchers to companies. The models look quite strong, e.g. Table 4 in the paper: MMLU is good to look at, the 70B model is just below GPT-3.5. But HumanEval (bad misnomer) shows coding capability is quite a bit lower (48.1 vs 29.9).

This is huge: Llama-v2 is open source, with a license that authorizes commercial use! This is going to change the landscape of the LLM market. Llama-v2 is available on Microsoft Azure and will be available on AWS, Hugging Face and other providers Pretrained and fine-tuned models are available with 7B, 13B and 70B parameters. I never really told this story, but my plan was to drop out of my @Stanford PhD to start a company. Like Larry & Sergey did for Google. But I got so enamored by the magic of generative AI, even back when it was outputting 💩, that the joke was I *failed to drop out*. I've now started a company with an incredible team! It's to spread this magic and enable other companies to build their own generative AI with their engineering teams.
