The Vogel pickup is very interesting, here’s why. If you’re Golden State, obviously in the thick of luring LeBron James in free agency, you don’t just sign Bron’s former coach assuming he would like that because they’ve had history together. That would be way too risky and could easily backfire. The only sensible assumption is that they hired Vogel because he’s a good coach but more importantly they knew that it was something LeBron would want. How would they find that out? Maybe through convos with Draymond? Maybe through another route? Either way they had to have knowledge that he would be okay with potentially playing for Vogel again.
