@etirabys Google has a nice feature where it will screen calls for you, you can hit a screen button and it will talk to the caller and show you a live transcript. ime spam callers just hang up and real callers do actually say something, you can read it and pick up. highly recommend

something changed and I now get about four spam calls a day. I glance at the number and instantly reject most of them but I need to get a bunch of health stuff resolved soon and I'm nervous new clinics' calls will get dropped. this fills me with outsized rage

It was much easier for me to get up in arms about fare-hopping in Philly, where there were actual gates, than it is in Seattle where the fare “gates” look like this and enforcement is sparse at best
I still can’t figure out if they even want people to pay tbh

Realizing crime is bad has been my biggest political growth the last 5 years Even if we spent more on enforcing fair evading than we get on missing fairs, that would be fine. People seeing people regularly jump fares without consequences makes people angry and more conservative
