What does a mask do? Blocks respiratory droplets coming from your mouth and throat. Two simple demos: First, I sneezed, sang, talked & coughed toward an agar culture plate with or without a mask. Bacteria colonies show where droplets landed. A mask blocks virtually all of them.

Guru came to Seattle airport to receive me. It was wierd not to hug. The feeling of seeing my son again at home was priceless. With the way India was extending the lockdown from 1.0 to 5.0 , there was a time I had given up hope being back home . Gratitude to universal forces!

Mumbai airport update their website - Highly recommend this if you are traveling during the pandemic - csmia.aero/planned-flight… with daily arrivals and departures. It was an important part of our travel planning to check if our flights would go or would get cancelled last minute.

Trip back HOME after 100+ days - 5/31/2020 - Air India opened the bookings for #vbm flights. 3 of us tried for my tickets. Myself, my hubby and brother-in-law. We got lucky with my brother-in-law able to book tickets for Mumbai - Newark.

Finally reached Newark on 6/6. Immigration/baggage took 30 minutes and got my flight to Seattle with Alaska.

Mumbai airport waited for 6 hours inline to checkin, went thru security twice, with cabin and immigration and finally boarded the flight. My mom packed idlis and chapatis. I was afraid of eating anything outside. managed with the food I got from home for 3 days I travelled.

checked out at 9pm on 4/5 for the flight. This is our Coimbatore gang at Mumbai airport. Gratitude for each one of them for the companionship. the travel was easier because of these people.
