El P2P no lo inventó El Dorado ni Binance. LocalBitcoins fue el pionero. Yo era un usuario más. Estuve años en esa plataforma haciendo arbitraje, entendiendo cómo se mueve el dinero entre personas cuando los bancos no funcionan al 100% o son demasiado lentos. Eso me enseñó más sobre el mercado real de LATAM que cualquier otra cosa. @eldoradoio es la versión tropicalizada de ese modelo. Cuatro años después, seguimos construyendo y es un orgullo ser latino y construir para este lado del mundo 🚀🌎

Recién veo este post de @ahbilbaoo en LinkedIN y quiero traerlo a discusión por acá. Esto le está pasando a demasiadas empresas de la región como para seguir llamándolo mala suerte. El problema de fondo es que muchas compañías de Latam operan sobre infraestructura financiera que no fue pensada para nosotros. Funciona hasta que un día compliance en otro país decide que eres un riesgo, y ahí descubres que nunca fuiste un cliente al que había que responderle. En @eldoradoio trabajamos en esto, en que las empresas de la región tengan opciones construidas desde acá. Pero más allá de eso, lo que propone Bilbao es lo correcto. El silencio funciona cuando el reclamo es de uno solo. Ustedes qué piensan?

This is why we built Straight Outta Latam! Latam doesn't lack sun, talent, or ideas. It lacks capital flowing to the right places. @nvillegase and the @suno_finance team are fixing that. Turning solar plants into something 4,000 ordinary people can own a piece of. Founders like him are why I believe this region won't just adapt to the future. It will power it. 🌎☀️

AI, EVs, and factories are adding demand to Latin America's grid faster than it can be built. Colombia expects electricity demand to jump from 85,000 to over 117,000 GWh by 2035. Chile's data center load goes from 325 MW to 1,200 MW by 2030. In Argentina, OpenAI floated $25B for a 500 MW data center in Patagonia, running on gas. Meanwhile the region wastes what it already has. Chile curtailed over 6,200 GWh of solar and wind in 2025. Brazil curtailed 37 TWh. Built, paid for, thrown away for lack of transmission. The fix is capital, not technology. CEPAL estimates $1.7T is needed through 2050. Latin America gets just 5-6% of global private investment in clean energy. @suno_finance moves that capital directly into solar assets, fractioned into digital shares of the income they produce. El error de muchas fintech es pensar Latinoamérica como un solo mercado. Compartimos idioma, heridas y ciertas urgencias, pero la adopción siempre es local: depende de cómo cada cultura entiende el dinero, la cercanía y, sobre todo, la confianza. El Dorado parece haberlo entendido. Su primera oficina física en Santa Cruz de la Sierra convierte un neobanco de stablecoins en algo visible, cercano y tangible. En una región donde nadie pone su dinero en algo que no le inspira confianza, el brick and mortar no contradice a la blockchain: le da pies, cara y territorio.
