If you press the button, you change the past: a random slave in colonial America suddenly becomes super happy to be a slave. Friggin loves it. Spends their entire life in joy. It doesn't meaningfully change the outcome of their life at all. Do you press the button?

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?



the consumer can never remotely understand or appreciate what it takes to get to the point of consumption. so much production context is lost this goes for art and resources. and it’s magnified in a globalized, often opaque economy
