Our CPD working party had a lovely working lunch meeting at @staithscafebar on the Gateshead quayside today. During the summer months it’s nice for us to connect more in person, as a team, and look after our well-being #TwitterEPs #ADayInTheLifeOfA_TEP

I hate upsetting the grafters out there but this morning warranted breakfast at the always excellent @staithscafebar followed by a spell tidying up the back patio and reading @narc_magazine . Life is tough!

@billyredhead1 @TheBearBarrel1 There is a car park at the west end of the Staiths (next to Dunston excelsior club) and it’s a lovely ten minute walk right along the length of Dunston Staiths - don’t know if that sounds appealing ? 😂 just if it happens again!

Got parked up close to Les Petits Choux but dead busy so went to @staithscafebar - couldn’t get parked there so headed to @TheBearBarrel1 (about 500 yards from our house). First visit - really enjoyed it - we will be back. If at first…

Gateshead folk, from my Tripadvisor searches you are a cafe desert? Am I right that there's basically the odd tearoom or caff and (bar something at the Sage) everything else is over the river?

@MichaelTaylorSt @twbpt We are right on the river and right at the east end of Dunston Staiths! Head to NE8 2BZ on the Staiths southbank estate if coming by car or if walking from the swing bridge we are 20mins up river!
