@antonttc @Morpho This Labs vs DAO is a long topic and there is quite a lot about aave that users are not aware of. Aave has on a chain a massive negative debt and users funds are locked since over 3 years. The DAO voted for a No on a reimbursement, but guess who has a lot of voting power in DAO

After reading all these, I hope people realize why @Morpho left Aave and set up the system as it is: * Nothing (risks, params) for the protocol to manage. * Outsource "products" to vaults (and monarch) * Vaults charges performance fees and will be held responsible for their risk management * Protocol controls fee switch only * Morpho Association spends most resources building infra, SDKs, data pipelines for products on top of Morpho. * Morpho Association doesn't even bother setting up a vault to earn some easy money. If a protocol comes with some "risk management" staking game, like an insurance fund, it can no longer be separated clearly with the product. That's the power of an isolated protocol as infrastructure. It has its flaws, but when it comes to politics, Morpho is the least dirty table you wanna join.

@zachxbt Oh I'm not defending them. Just pointing out that Europol paints privacy as the crime here rather than eg running an unlicensed MSB. And that's a dangerous generalization for a transnational crime agency to make.

@keoneHD @CryptoHayes How many of your Validators are really decentralised? A quick check showed me of the first 20 Validators, 7 are on OVH, 5 are on UAB. That's already 15 from the first 20 who are running in a data center. Guess what happens if such a provider has an issue? Already saw in the past

Dear @CryptoHayes , I respect what you have built for the industry. Perps are an amazing innovation that I believe will continue to grow rapidly. You've had a big effect on our industry. I have seen you commenting on Monad a lot for the past few days. While I'm sure some comments might have been taken out of context, I thought you might be interested in what is different about Monad and why it's not just another L1. I am sure that you had to deal with tons of FUD in your day innovating with BitMEX, and that you simply addressed the comments head on and kept powering through. I will take the liberty of doing the same. Here are a few things to know about why Monad is different: - It's really fast. You can withdraw from Coinbase and your funds show up in 1-2 seconds. It just feels magical - It's built on a completely new tech stack so that that level of speed is possible under a highly decentralized network. There are currently 170 globally-distributed validators, with more to come. You can check out the live network topology here: gmonads.com - This is important because while everyone is saying that blockchains have to be centralized, data center chains (or single sequencers) in order to be performant, Monad proves that the opposite is possible. Businesses, asset issuers, and global developers want decentralized and credibly neutral - they don't want to be at the whims of one sequencer - The Monad codebase is fully open source and audited, built completely from scratch in C++ and rust to introduce many HFT-style optimizations. Check it out here: github.com/category-labs/… - Monad introduces MonadBFT, a frontier consensus mechanism that solves the tail forking problem for pipelined consensus. That alone is a huge advancement since BFT consensus inherently requires multiple rounds of communication; pipelining (staggering) the blocks is the only way to get fast block times; and previously pipelining was vulnerable to 1-block reorgs (tail forks) that enable MEV attacks. But not anymore! - Monad introduces Async Execution, which adds further efficiencies by allowing consensus and execution to proceed in separate swim lanes. Ethereum is trying to adopt this. - Monad has a bunch of other tech innovations, like a full JIT compiler for EVM bytecode to native code, a new database (MonadDb), a new block propagation mechanism (RaptorCast), and parallel execution. In our first month we was able to help DeFi users to recover $479.26 from dead DEXes 🙌 In total there are nearly $10m in LPs on DEXes which have no website anymore or migrated to a newer version. Did you already checked your wallet if you still have funds in dead DEXes?

@Fractal_Visions @jchaskin22 @Starlink If you have good 5G no need for starlink, in 2021 I had a mobile validator, a raspberry pi with a 5G Modem and could walk around with it, worked fine 😉 only power supply was over a USV which was a bit heavy over time to carry around

I think I need to make a bet on @Polymarket if first @AAVE is working on a plan to remove negative debt or @eulerfinance The fact that AAVE has been having since 1243 Days (3 years, 5 months) a negative debt and doing nothing is quite crazy
