@hankgreen PhD student who taught/TAd classes - more students use coursehero to cheat, they upload old assignments/tests for others to see & use. Chegg is similar but not worse than coursehero. To those complaining abt teaching quality - coming up w/ new test Qs every yr is very hard.

@hapyresearchers This isn’t always true. Supportive mentors can make or break you 100% — but access to research projects, grant/funding opportunities, unique classes/talks/networking opps. may be limited at a small, underfunded, and/or non-research institutions.

For Ph.D. students, choosing a supportive mentor is 100 times more important than choosing a PI who is working in the top/famous institution.
