With their 27-21 win over Jacksonville State, FIU football clinched bowl eligibility for the first time since 2019 and sixth time overall. It’s the program’s first-ever win over the Gamecocks, snapping a three-game losing streak.

Chad Staley is the first-ever FIU offensive lineman to record a receiving touchdown in a game. He joins Rupert Bryan Jr. (rushing TD at FAU 11/26/12) as FIU offensive linemen to record offensive touchdowns in any capacity in program history.
