BREAKING via @Jerusalem_Post: A Gazan man is demanding that the International Criminal Court investigate Hamas’s crimes against the people of Gaza in a formal submission to the ICC. The Palestinian man and his lawyers name 14 Hamas leaders responsible for a host of crimes, including using Gazan civilians as human shields and enlisting children in terror forces. The submission demonstrates that Hamas and its war crimes and crimes against the Palestinian people are responsible for the deaths of Gazan civilians in Hamas’s war against Israel, including the man’s wife, children, and other family members. To date, the ICC has not investigated crimes committed by Hamas and its allies against Palestinian civilians. “The Palestinian people, including our client, deserve justice for the atrocities committed against them by Hamas, with the full backing of Iran’s leaders,” said one of the man’s lawyers. The ICC’s failure to pursue justice for Hamas’s Palestinian victims incentivizes the repetition of such crimes, said another. The Hamas leaders named in the submission are Izz al-Din al-Haddad, Khaled Mashaal, Mahmoud al-Zahar, Mohammed Odeh, Muhannad Rajab, Khalil al-Hayya, Mousa Abu Marzook, Ghazi Hamad, Izzat al-Rishq, Fathi Hamad, Nizar Awadallah, Husam Badran, Zaher Jabarin, and Basem Naim.

💔 Heartbreaking final goodbye between a K9 officer and his partner. 🥲 Sergeant Paul Greer of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department held his 10-year-old German Shepherd, Bruno, at Riverside Veterinary Clinic last Wednesday. Bruno served 8 years as Paul’s K9 partner before retiring. Paul adopted him immediately — they’d been inseparable ever since. As Bruno’s health failed, Paul carried him in for his final moments. Weak as he was, Bruno slowly lifted his front paws and wrapped them around Paul’s shoulders in one last hug. A final thank you. A final “I love you.” Nothing beats the bond between a man and his dog. Rest easy, Bruno. You were the best boy. 🐾 ♥️.

Congressman @BillPoseyFL was one of my first mentors in politics, meeting me one-on-one shortly after I began running for the Florida House in 2015. Our meeting happened at a muscle car show — those who knew Bill won’t be surprised. The advice I most remember — and tried to follow — was to keep my family first and limit the sacrifice that public service would ultimately thrust upon them. Oh, and he hated that I drove an electric car. Bill and I spoke fairly frequently during my eight years in the Florida House, and I’ll never forget him calling me one day to ask if I’d like to put one of my yard signs at his office — despite the fact it was at least 20 miles outside my district. I think he wanted everyone in our area to know how he felt. Bill’s final gift to me was on July 24, 2024 when he gave his only ticket to the House Gallery for the Joint Address to Congress by @netanyahu. There were plenty who wanted that seat; he knew what it would mean to me. Neither of us ever could have imagined that one year later I would have moved from the visitor’s gallery to the floor of Congress. Bill was a fighter for conservative values, beloved by his constituents, and most importantly, a man who loved his family. I hope I’ve taken his advice. He will be missed. May his memory be a blessing.
