with the conclusion of fred’s ncaa career, I think it’s fair to say he comes in as the 2nd greatest ncaa gymnast of all time, behind sam mikulak. it would be completely fair to assume brody malone would be up there if not for covid and freak accident injury

@visckate They’d have had great and amazing skate throughout the last 4 years. BUT this skate, was the first time where they skated like they were indeed the best pairs team between 2022-2026. This was a perfect OGM winning skate.

@qdsalchow wish the 3A counted for the axel and the solo triple requirement. Program had a 3A & 3+3 combo, but bc the solo jump was popped to a double, 0 points were awarded. By hitting the 3A, the skater has "proven" to to be able to execute a triple jump that requirement is encouraging.

Smart/Dieck’s Dune programs (last year and this year) have been some of the most interesting. They truly present their program so well on the ice. Today was the best I’ve seen them, and likely a performance I’ll come back to. Like 2022, Olivia brought it to Olympic ice.
