Digital sexual assault via AI-generated deepfakes inflicts lasting trauma on women and children far beyond any initial online post. xAI must be held accountable for these repulsive actions allowed on their platform. California has zero tolerance for sexual abuse and will continue to encourage responsible innovation that safeguards our communities.

xAI’s decision to create and host a breeding ground for predators to spread nonconsensual sexually explicit AI deepfakes, including images that digitally undress children, is vile. I am calling on the Attorney General to immediately investigate the company and hold xAI accountable.

as a victim of groks sexual deepfakes, seeing high profile voices on the right twist this issue into an issue with free speech is so infuriating. real people are getting hurt by this and all they’re worried about is their pay check and propaganda tool. shame on every one of them

Somebody took my photo Elon on X and put cum on my mouth and posted it for the world to see. Another one posted cum all over me. I reported it. I spoke to cops about it. It broke Florida law. And nothing happened to those accounts that did this to me. This is what should have happened with the DA, and X shouldn't allow these accounts to do this. The DA can make an example out of these people. I feel immense guilt for my role. And even more guilt that things I have said in the past may have caused my son’s sister more pain.
